Quick AS question

Post by Bill Durrant »

Sorry can't find it in my manual.

Subs can only rearm at ports 9+?

What difference does an AS make?

Does having more than one AS at a port give an extra advantage?

Thanks

AS help with repair and allow reload at smaller bases. I think one AS can help only one sub at a time on repairs, if I'm wrong someone will correct me I'm sure.

AS allows subs to be reloaded (torpedoes not mines) in smaller ports (< size 9)

AS also slightly improve the repair rate when it a port with damaged subs.

Having more then 1 means you will not be torpedoless when the one gets sunk and the replacement is 6 months away. [;)]

Isn't torpedo limit is port 6 and 9 is for mines?

I think one AS can "service" 4 subs (ie, assist in repair rolls). I'm still unsure if having 2 or more will increase this 4 sub ability (ie, will 3 x AS allow 12 subs to benefit from the AS repair bonus?) like ARs. Same question would apply to ADs anf AGPs as well.

OK, so up to 2 ADs, ASs and AGPs can combine their capability per port (8 DDs, 8 SSs, and 12 PTs...(?) can't remember if an AGP services 4 or 6 PTs get the bonus) and up to 4 ARs per port, 16 ships get bonus.

Thanks.
