In Matrixland , weeks are months and months are years. I would have appreciated a note saying , sorry I was wrong and have nothing for you. Oh well. Maybe next week/month/year.

It's closer than it was the last time I posted. I expect to have good news and a much more firm release date by the middle of next week.

AGSI, in concert with Matrix Games, has finished edits on the manual today. We should now be about four weeks from shipping. Stand by for the official press release from Matrix Games.
And...we (Matrix and AGSI) are looking for a Sysop for this forum. If you want to apply, send me a note as to why you are qualfied and I'll send that along with my comments to Matrix for their consideration.

RE: The Countdown begins!
It's been ten days since I posted. I apologize - in Matrixland, things are busy. We are looking to release Harpoon Commander's Edition within two weeks. I will keep you posted as I have a final date, there are many games right now going through final testing and production at the same time so we are getting them out as each is completed.

WOW... 2 weeks! Not that I'm skeptical but......[;)] I sure hope that this is the real deal!! I play the HC2002 Gold regularly. I am excited to see if I can get an enemy to really engage me instead of lauching all it's aircraft due north!

if we extrapolate the previous notice of 4 weeks, I estimate we shall have the game in our hands by June 27th 2032.
It shall be a great day.

RE: The Countdown begins!
Hehe Mack2, we'll call it Harpoon Classic 2033 just to make it sound early [:)]
RE: The Countdown begins!
[:(] Come on guys. Let's give them one more chance. At least Erik is trying to keep us informed. Let's give 'em two more weeks. ....Then if we get ignored or lied to , then you'll have a right to get nasty. [:D]
RE: The Countdown begins!
I wasn't trying to be nasty, just having some fun with the naming, which I've been part of from time to time (and yes, I suck at it!).
RE: The Countdown begins!
Two weeks certainly would be nice. [8D]

Harpoon Classic Forever?
(I hope people get the joke).

Hmm, HCF, that acronym is already taken by the Harpoon 3 Access editor for distributing individual 'components' for import into other databases (Harpoon Component File if I have it right).
Harpoon Classic Everlasting? that's still HCE, probably safe [:'(], well as safe as it can be sharing a paper game acronym (Harpoon Captain's Edition)

RE: The Countdown begins!
Is this soon to be released version of the game based on the old original Harpoon Classic `97 ?
Thanks
