Round 75; the tide turns for the Twisted Killers regarding the fight over Orion. I try my best to hold both them from taking that capitol, as I try to catch the Hindu Capitol Stoneroad before the First Army does so.

Northern front: right now everything I do is focused on Stoneroad in the far north. The XIV Corps sits idle. The IX and a detachment from the II Corps cleared the road between Fallow and Minor Town from Hindus, while the rest of the II Corps is moving north on to Stoneroad. The problem is that the First Army is already attacking it and holds a mountain pass, where they can contain me pretty good. On the other hand, the IV and X Corps continue to break the First Army lines west of Treeflow apart. My spearhead, the brave 88th Tank Division and the 25th Reconing Division have taken control of the road from Treeflow northwest, enabling me to starve the strong First Army forces further south, that are threatening my XIII Corps, to death. If they don’t break through my weak flank protection.

Eastern front: to my frustration, Heavy Tanks II seem to be invincible and repell everything that attacks them. One of them was destroyed in a Killers attack between turns, but the one that I attacked, survived artillery, divebombers, and an infantry attack ...
I have to worry ever more about my northern flank there as well. The First Army is pushing my XI Corps, which basically consists of filth and muck, and doesn’t even need heavy weapons to gain ground.

Round 75; the tide turns for the Twisted Killers regarding the fight over Orion. I try my best to hold both them from taking that capitol, as I try to catch the Hindu Capitol Stoneroad before the First Army does so.

Southern front: the I Corps took Bluestuff End in the south. But the Twisted Killers positioned themselves between me and Orion now, hindering me from attacking the city myself now without attacking them first. Damnit!! When I left a one hex space between my units and the city, I did so to avoid a Trinitist counterattack, but I surely didn’t expect that ... I had no choice but an all out attack. Doubtlessly the Killers would take the former Third Conglomerate Capitol in their next turn, so I had to first break their lines and then take the city with whatever would still be able to walk ... what a bloody close decided battle:

Southern front: I squeezed every unit available into the city, but I doubt I can hold it. The Killers are just too numerous and have too superior material. There are also tanks, mortars, and other offensive material in Orion, but I have to hold the goddamn thing!!

I’m scared.

Round 76; the Twisted hordes are moving – everywhere! And they have yet advanced again in technology and can now field Heavy Tanks III ...!! Noooooo!!

Northern front: I think I can definitely say that the First Army won’t take Stoneroad in the next turn. My forces managed to pocket all units west of Treeflow, and they are already out of supply. If the X and IV Corps can hold the Treeflow front, I should have my hands free for Stoneroad.

Eastern front: stalemate at the VI and XV Corps’ front, while the XI Corps is still under pressure from the First Army.

Southern front: Orion held, but is almost cut off from the rest of the country. I had to open the road to Balbofield again, which was successful, but the road to Central Morning is overrun with the Twisted hordes. There are so many of them, and in the open fields I have no way to defend myself against their superior material. I have to keep Orion at any price, and even if it means sacrificing another 100 rifles... or 200 ... and a truck.

Round 77;

Northern front: started to clean up the pocket northwest of Rainbackhill, apart from that just minor attacks and I close in on Stoneroad.

Eastern front: the XI Corps shifts into retreat mode. I have to give up the road from Minister to Quicksilver, which creates a problem, as I don’t have any reserves to defend the Limbs Fields. I whipped up the 134th Infantry Division to protect Quicksilver, but those green troops are nothing more than cannonfodder.

Southern front: a concentrated counterattack destroyed my 95th Tank Division (I Corps) at Bluestuff End, further weakening my position in the deep south. Furthermore, Twisted Killers cut the road from Orion to Balbofield again. I could not reopen it, due to my inability to shell their heavy tanks, but a massed infantry assault instead opened the road to Central Morning, allowing the Orion garrison to survive another turn. Apart from that, I feel like the pressure there has become less this turn, maybe I have almost broken that wave of enemies.

Round 78; while the Hindus are breaking down now, everybody else is pushing me around as if I were Pushy Pusherson himself ...

Northern front: this front is effectively going in two different directions now and will soon be split up. The IX Corps pushes northwest, where it has spotted the city of Mirkbeatle in Hindu hands. The XIV Corps sits idle. The other corps push east. The II Corps will attack Stoneroad next turn. The XIII Corps has cleaned up it’s pocket. The X and IV Corps are holding their line. I may transfer the XIII Corps to the east as well.

Eastern front: the XI Corps is in complete disarray. Further fortifications are erected around Quicksilver in a desperate attempt to hold it. The Twisted Killers attempted to cross the river to the west under the nose of the XV Corps. This corps might be weak, but not like that, Mister! The crossing units were beaten back and isolated.

Southern front: the I Corps is running into problems. It’s far too stretched out and has screaming gaps in it’s frontline. The VII and VIII Corps have seemingly secured Orion for the moment (which means I can sleep well tonight). My biggest worry is the Trinitists gaining a lot of strength at Bluestuff End, which after all is a good position to flank the VII Corps at the moment, and another flanking threat against the VIII Corps’ left wing, put up by the Twisted Killers.

I’m sure to get Stoneroad next round, which would have me control 3 capitols, 6 cities, 5 towns, and 7 villages for a total of 73,500 production points. Mirkbeatle seems to be another sure prey given that I don’t spot any enemies there. That would be another 5,000 points.

Round 79;

Northern front: Stoneroad is mine! Following this, the II, IV, X, and XIII Corps will face east and push into First Army territory. The IX and XIV Corps will continue to conquer Hindu Movement land and will become subordinated to a new Northwestern Front HQ.

Eastern front: still a stalemate situation here. Nothing moves, just bloody attacks, that don't bring in anything.

Southern front: Orion seems to be secured, and this also seems to be the turning point of this game. I have enough ressources available now to strengthen all my frontlines. I even isolated a few strong Twisted Killers formations.

Round 80;

Northwestern front: the IX Corps has taken Mirkbeatle, which was left undefended by the Hindus.

Northern front: the II, IV, X, and XIII Corps have closed two pockets at Treeflow, containing almost all First Army units in this area. Scouts have spotted the town Metalstaff at the northern edge of the map, which is only lightly defended.

Eastern front: still the stalemate, but this might be a good thing after all.

Southern front: everything is moving, and is moving fine. The right wing of the I Corps was split off into the new XVI Corps, since it’s front was about 20 hexes long. VIII Corps spearheads have reached the Twisted Killers held village of Top.

Round 81;

Northwestern front: out of the blue, some Hindu armour appeared and swept back into Mirkbeatle, eliminating the 84th Infantry Division (IX Corps) on the way. The corps is stunned and tries to reorganize. The 115th Infantry Division stepped in and took back Mirkbeatle.

Northern front: the pockets around Treeflow where razed this turn, and the XIII Corps strategically transferred to the eastern front to support the lines between the XI and VI Corps.

Eastern front: the XIII Corps arrived at Minor Valley, while the First Army is putting a lot of pressure on my Quicksilver salient from north and east.

Southern front: me and the Twisted Killers are concentrating a lot of forces at Top, while at the same time I try to cross the swampy filthy muck that lies south of Orion. The Trinitists try to put pressure on Bluestuff End. They have researched Heavy Tanks II as well, but I think they lack the ressources to produce them on a larger scale.

I’m pretty sure I’m on the winning road by now. I control more than 1/3 of the victory locations, including three capitols (of seven).

Back at work eh ? You're not kidding me, you're gonna lose this one.
History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.
