I feel obliged to brag a moment or two. Here I thought I was going to get my head handed to me. I'd bought coffins and everything.

Lobsteve on Rocketman (Two LRM12, 2 SRM4 and 3MLs)
VS
Larkin on Alice (2 CLG and 2 PGs)
In The Dungeon

We had a quick duel on Assaults with Elite jocks. I started off in a nook of hills whereas Larkin had a long run across the plains. I was able to tuck myself behind a medium hill and jump up anddown firing the LRMs to reduce his far superior armour while he made his way over to me. After 3/4 of the map of this I jumped my hill and we went hand to hand. The clever designer Larkin is he jumped up just as I ran forward negating any charge opportunity I might have had. He then brought on the DfA for a good 30 damage to me. He laid into me a bit more while I was down and my LoT was becoming quite the concern. Getting back up I was able to swing the arms and a legs and a quick kick dropped him in turn, leaving his CT nicely open (already yellow from LRMs) to a combination of MLs and luck. CT disabled, Game Over.

I suppose there could have been had the game gotten around to Larkin's turn again. As it happened it ended as soon as I ended my attack round.

You'd still have gotten the message had the engine exploded. It just wouldn't happen.
Besides, elite jocks shouldn't have any problems preventing engine explosions.

Ahhhhh, the frosty northern wasteland. How pleasant for a laser-titan. And indeed it was. I knocked poor Cyavhn unconcious with the first shot of my NB and after that he was on his back more often than....well never mind. He did know me down once, but I had the advantage of an early green scan, and was crouched down in heavy cover while he was stuck out in the open. To save his honour he ejected after I blew off his LoT making it all a moot point. So I guess it's a TKO. I'll take it.

Good game, though quick.

classic arena
i jumped but was unable to sight his titan, after a couple of hexes he appeared and i got a yellow scan with 3 ac 12`s, 2 SRM`s & what else [didn`t record all the vital statistics, i`ll get better at this, promise] (he was disadvantaged with LRM`s so close), soon his right torso was gone and it wasn`t long `til his ct was disabled, very short game

in the melee with lobsteve, he certainly had the best of me, and quick
i jumped but as the jets were short landed on a medium hill, it would have been better for me to continue the jump and crash, as it was i took a severe beating just getting in a couple of hits, lobsteves` titan was in the factory database, but gun storm? one of his designs?

The Gun Storm is in the DB as well. All the titans I create are Private so that I won't accidentally inflict them on anyone in a netgame.

Definately a stock design. Even built by Vicious Byte. I've come across this before though, Titans that other people have stock that I don't. Kinda wacky. But interesting and fun. Yes. Right. Rambling.

Actually, the clincher was when he somehow managed to destroy my heat reg. It was right after he disabled my RT I got the message saying the heat reg had been destroyed even though it hadn't taken any damage prior. Is that even possible anymore, because I thought Larkin had changed it so that couldn't happen. Bug, or just a lucky shot?

That's because you're using a very ANCIENT database. Some designs were scrapped, others were renamed, others refitted. The Deathblossom for example was scrapped eons ago. The Gun Storm was renamed and refitted. What did you do, tmerge the v1.3 database with the one in v1.4? Use v1.4 only, it's a lot better and way more balanced.

Destruction of a bodypart with a heat reg section results in unrepairable damage to the component. A destroyed side torso puts the heat reg at heavy damage (though I think in v1.4 it's still medium...). Destruction might have been luck.

mind if i ask your opinions on a victory that has nothing to do with tos? really? thanks here goes

alright im playing this map on warcraft 3 battle.net thats an arena thing using most of the units and some special ones now the unit i use has a couple of useful skills like windwalk which turns you invisible for a time mirror image which creates multiple projections of yourself and a stun attack now in this map theres a 1 on 1 duel area and it just uses the most powerful guys from team 1 and team 2 now to get to the point:

the unit i was using was a ranged one pretty well balanced fair amount of health good damage good attack rate good armor etc and my opponent was a fast little thing with better stats across the board more or less now to get to the juicy part:

were both in the 1 on 1 duel area and he comes at me first thing i do is wind walk and put some distance between us and then use mirror image to confuse him well he falls for it and we keep dancing around me using mirror image and windwalk and him chasing after me and the images and eventually i wear him down enough that i kill him now time for the aftermath:

this guy flips on me calling me a noob and stuff when i beat him using all of my units skills so whaddya think guys should i start writing a nasty e-mail to the guy or what?

EDIT: he did write some pretty vulgar stuff fyi

Yes, we wound up with the same titan. On the frosty mountains of northern Siberia. Alone. With 5LRM12s, 2LRM9s and 2MLs each. Bring on the carnage.

The opening rounds of this game were Loooooooong. Maneuvering on and around mountain in assault titans is a heck of a way to kill the time. At about 500 (I think) seconds in we finally spot each other. And we're only 5 hexes apart, tops. I crouch on topof a tree covered mountain while Cyavhn is caught out in the open below me. I light off with everything...mistake, those LRMs light up the heat indicator real nice. That goodness for the cold, and for Cyavhn being unlucky locking on. I begin to cycle my weapons to keep my heat in the white. Cyavhn rips off with his salvo and begins to overheat. As I fire again things explode (not his lucky day) and he loses his LT and has massive damage to the center. It's finished only a couple turns later when i rip the CT out.

Strange game.

Should I mention that I ripped Cyavhn's CT in our rematch as well. AC20s vs. PGandTesla at 4 hexes. and the ACs have it.
