I have to point out that the way the developers have been responding in this forum is very impressive. It is quite clear they are not out to make money from this game (although who would begrudge them some reward for their efforts!) but rather it is a labour of love on their part. They want to make the modern naval/air warfare game they want to play. It is also quite clear they are listening to the people who have bought their game, and responding to bug reports and requests for new changes or improvements to existing ones.

And no, I am not connected to any of the developers, or anyone at Matrix either. Just an ordinary punter who bought the game on the day of release as has been playing it ever since. And yes, when I saw the price I did blanche a bit, but I still bought it and have not regretted it at all.
+1
And this is why I bought the game.

That was about a month maybe two before release. If you call that an "extensive period" All I can do is laugh . I know for a fact that if the devs actually played the game they would have to know the UI is terrible So I can only assume they did not.

Actually that was the last set of Beta Testers...there were three sets...

Which doesn't mean I knew about it.

My God, you're a fool, Pii. Are you 13, perhaps? Or a fairly bright 10 year-old? The devs are answering all of your dopey "issues" and still you're raging. I was a beta tester. The game was extensively tested and there was massive input from the testers, just about all of which was heeded by the devs. I think Matrix should probably just refund your money so that you can put it back in your father's wallet and go play something less demanding.

Where the heck am I raging other than to a fanboy that called me a troll because I agreed with the review? A person that claims I'm "raging meaninglessly" and "trolling" but can't show one example and now I have you piling on claiming the same. I repeat show me a post where I wasn't polite about my "dopey issues" and didn't offer a suggestion?

And what is so dopey about my issues away? Do you like making a million unnecessary clicks and hunting all over for information? Do you think that's a feature? Do you disagree with my dopey issues or not? How about you give an example of why they are dopey? The funny thing is even the people calling me a troll don't seem to disagree or just won't admit it.

"I think Matrix should probably just refund your money so that you can put it back in your father's wallet and go play something less demanding."

LOL yes that's it! It's too demanding! Only smarty pants fanboys can handle it! LOL
Me thinks you think a little too highly of yourselves. The father dig was something a 6 year old could have thought up. So I have to ask, are you six or a fairly bright four year old?

Sure why not? I have a bunch of fanboys making silly false claims about me and they even seem to know what I know or don't know. Its comical. They all have their undies in a knot and bitching about a review and LOAD FORBID someone should agree with it. OH NOOOOOOOO LOL <-- See still laughing.

I was reading the Command review and thinking "Wow, this guy really hates the game whereas everyone else seems to love it - how strange.". So I looked at the name of the reviewer and was simply stunned:

THEY LET HERMAN HUM DO THE REVIEW???

This guy has been banned - twice - from the Matrix forums, from Harpgamer, and God knows where else. He has engaged in a years-long smear campaign against the guys who developed Command (and before that, the DB2000 for Harpoon), and has been feuding with them for even longer than that.

Regardless of who's right or wrong (not getting into that here), surely this was an exceedingly poor choice for a reviewer. The guy is about as biased as one could possibly be, and I have *never* seen him fail to "take a shot" at the guys who developed Command over the years.

About the only thing I can surmise is that SimHQ just wasn't aware of the feud that existed, and thought that Herman (who is not without any redeeming virtues I suppose - he clearly is passionate - or maybe just obsessed - about Harpoon) was just a very knowledgeable and helpful Harpooner who would be ideal to do a review on a game which is the spiritual successor to Harpoon.

But seriously, when you already know what the reviewer will conclude about a game, just by looking at his name - you know something is very, very wrong.

I certainly hope SimHQ pulls the review, and hands it out to someone without a dog in this fight. To do otherwise is to really risk their credibility.

"Fanboy" is an expression appropriate to pre-adolescent gamers and always makes anyone using it in a mature forum look like a 12 year-old. Whenever someone either very young or very intellectually limited starts throwing his toys around the room in a game forum, out comes "fanboy", which never proves any point except that its user is out of his depth. Pii, you either need to listen to what I and others are trying to convey to you here, i.e. that your complaints are tenuous and your manner of making them petulant, or you will carry on making an a$$ of yourself. I don't care either way, but you are digging a deeper hole for yourself every time you post.

As for your problems with the game: If you really wanted assistance, you would have looked for threads on similar topics and learned what you could from those, or started your own thread. You would have addressed the devs and the forum members respectfully and constructively, instead of hijacking this thread, which is about an entirely different matter, in order to jump aboard another negative (if more sophisticated) dismissal of the game, yelling "me too!!". Devs in this thread have already tried to correct some of your misconceptions, yet you seem so wilfully ignorant and determined to express all your problems as one big tantrum, that neither I, nor anyone else here, cares to assist you. Put your questions in a dedicated thread (not this one) and do so courteously. That way, you may get help, if indeed it's help you're seeking, rather than an opportunity to throw your new toy across the room.

It's very obvious you don't have a clue as to what you are talking about.

1. You are a fanboy when you turn a blind eye to problems or call others troll for pointing out problems or agreeing with a review and it doesn't have anything to do with age. In short you're acting like a 12 year old fanboy, especially when you make crazy claims you can't backup. By the way I'm still waiting for that ONE example where is it?

2. I did post and started threads BEFORE this thread and I posted and suggested improvements for my ,as you put it, "dopey issues" I listed here and I did it BEFORE this thread was even here. So take your silly advice about how to get help and put it where the sun doesn't shine, fanboy.

3. This shows you are either stupid, a fanboy troll or just to lazy to do your homework (you do know how to use search , right?) before posting worthless BS claims about me raging and bashing. You and the other lying fanboys didn't even do the tiniest of checking before YOU started lying and calling ME names and you did it simple due to my agreeing with the SimHQ review. Since you would rather makes up sh*t instead of LOOKING at the FACTS this makes you a FANBOY, period!

So now how about you answer the questions I ask you or show me where I was raging and bashing the game? Otherwise you are the troll that's raging over my opinion about the review.

PS I compiled a list of bugs that has 20 items on it in less than two hours of game play but I'm afraid to post them as I think it might make your fanboy head explode.
