I have countered attacked and destroyed the 266 Rife regt. This picture and the next are overviews of the entire front.

This is the start of turn 235. Willie has made 3 break ins. The first 2 are on the attached picture. The one south of Riga could be a problem.

I have just received Willie's turn. AGN is in trouble. Break-in 1. I am not sure what to do and will think about it today. Break-in 2. Last turn I was able to form a line in front of Willie's units. He was able to punch a hole in that line and has been able to move a tank corp and a Inf Regt through the hole.

This AGC. I think the time for a retreat of the forces along the Desna River will be here shortly.

Willie appears to have gone over to the defensive in AGS and he is waiting for me to slowly to move my limited forces to AGN and AGC before he starts again.

As a Russian player in the early turns of FITE Willie is giving me hope, I look forward to the point I can start to take the fight to the Germans (Probably in about 2020 given the pace of the game)

You've been on a backheel for quite sometime fogger. Do you feel like pulling something still or you gave up hope?
I only played couple of times beyond mid 1943 against HO and the Germans always had a fight in them.
Once in early 1944 I was even hit hard by a guy who did manage to encircle and destroy almost 40 of my Soviet Divs (loss ratio over 10:1 for him). I barely managed to stop his spring offensive on the Desna River.
And he managed to retake Kharkov and reconnect to Crimea.
I did play a bit recklessly but he gave the impression in late 1943 that he was crumbling.
In the end we called it a draw.
PS. But he did play bad in 1941.

Waltz, The version Willie and I are playing is a early test version. We had a couple of stop /starts under the TOAW 4 beta. In this version the Germans are too weak. I believe the version that came out with TOAW 4 the Germans are stronger. Willie and I decided to press on to the end looking for the little bugs that only come out when you play and I think I may have found one last night. Very small and only effects 2 regts. Kristian is looking into it.

Gliz2, you think this is bad. In one of the very first test games I was only able to advance about 200km and hit a brick wall. I have no hope of winning this game but then neither did the Germans in 1943. (Current game time is Sept 43). I enjoy the challenge of trying to make it to April 45. I only ever play the Germans and the best that I have ever done is about 20 turns from a draw. i.e. I got to about turn 386 before I lost. In FITE1 you had to make it to 405 for a draw.

Willie is back from holidays and we are back in business. This is the start of turn 241 10 Oct 1943. Willie is pushing hard against my front line and he trying to form 2 pockets. I am doing my best to keep the flanks open so that my units can withdraw. My problem is that they are going into reorg after each move and thus I am unable to make a clean break. As can be seen I am preparing fall back MLR's but at present they are little more than a screen. If Willie is able to make a major breakin then my plan is to step back to the yellow line.

The start of turn 242. The mud has arrived. Not much will happen for the next couple of turns. Willie has made another 2 small holes in my line. I will move some of my reserves up to contain and if possible destroy. My problem will be the same as Willies. look sideways at a unit and it will go into reorg.

With reference to the remainder of the front I think Willie is waiting for AGN to break which will result in me having to cut and run. He has twice tried to jump the Dnepr river and twice been pushed back with heavy losses which he can afford. He also tried an attack around Mariupol but was also pushed back.
