Turn 12 North

In the north a desperate Soviet counteratack is repelled. The Soviet Air Force is present in strength, but Leningrads fate remains sealed.

The Volkhov is crossed in force, while the Panzer divisions rest and refit south of Leningrad.

In the Center the Soviets again manage to cut of the LVII Panzer Corps at Moscow and also surround Kalinin.

The situation was corrected and the Soviet Army seemed on the brink of braking.

But alas, the partisans had struck and fuel and supply would soon be hard to come by. Two Army HQs with lots of construction battalions were dispatched. It was hoped that the army commanders would be able to correct the situation as the northern FBD had to be railled to the location and would not be able to repair anything before the next week.

But this time 4th Army command has enough of it and commits the forces necessary to end it once and for all.

In the South the Soviets retreat slowly.

2nd Panzer Group gives chase, but is unable to take Kharkov off the road.

The Soviets retreat over the Volkhov. Manstein decides to pocket the southern part of the Soviet line.

It doesn't work out quite as well as hoped. Meanwhile the Leningrad pocket is further reduced.
