Re: Planning map and history
Latest game map. To be seen as a planning map-Lagekarte.
Nothing added into it that alters game play.
Just more information.Ex more naming in an old font.
Historical airfields. Named.
Red is Fliegerhorst or Einsatzhafen.
Green is Feltflugplatz or if used by a german air group also Landeplätze.
Sources are of both german and russian origin.
Of course just a small part of airfields used, especially after summer-43.
Lat. Long. Occupation dates from german side -41 and -42 to the east.
From russian side -43, -44 and -45 to the west.
Some early mine fields, pre war borders and lighthouses.

Re: Planning map and history
Vistula (Weichsel)-Berlin scenario.
In some way a real main scenario. Opposite of Barbarossa.
Played to axis turn 13, 7-4-45.
Ai-Ai. As a simulation a bit ahead of history in
both main directions Berlin and Wien.
Compare with occupation dates.
If a "W" its a western ally occupation.
Lat. Long. All historical main airfields.
Lighthouses. Some early german mine fields in the Ostsee.
A bit more formal ferry signs. Extended naming
and historical fonts. Changes dont alter game play.
At least I think so.

Re: Planning map and history
If scheme koncentrated to Estonia.
German, allied, soviet and post war research. Sometimes air groups mentioned and time based at that airfield
Sources notated. Among data german Luftwaffe plan quadrat in maps 1;300 000. Ziel numbers from Fliegeratlas-42.
Row after geographical facts show if airfield is notated on my WitE-2 game map. Perhaps not all-out reliable compilation.

Re: Planning map and history
Perhaps a bit off topic but here I go on with Lettland-Latvia.
WW2 airfields. Compilation from different named sources.
Obvious and impossible to avoid are differing facts especially about location and categorisation of airfields.

Re: Planning map and history
Airfields 41-45. Compilation.Sources listed.
Location and time for german air groups.
Different sources have different time spann.
WitE-2 airfields specially listed.
x or y in column left of number in German flugplatzatlas means it is on my game map.
Sources are of course a bit conflicting. No real evaluation from my side.
Errors are bound to exist in the list.
In this case Whiterussia- Belorussia.

Re: Planning map and history
A sort of geographical OOB to see opposing forces.
Originally intended to be used in connection with frontline game map of WitE-1.
So, made many years ago.
Perhaps of some interest?

Re: Planning map and history
Game map with added longitude and latitude lines.
Every second longitude line and every latitude main line.
That corresponds to a german main war map serie in scale 1: 300 000.
They are geographically named and north-south rows have its upper latitude.
West to east they are named a letter, ex P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-A-B-C
and so on that decides the longitude. Ex T 55 Wilna.
Name Wilna. Upper latitude 55. Letter T longitude 24-26 (or to be exact 24.20 till 26.20).
In german Fliegeratlas ( I mostly use the one from 42-02-01) every airfield is localised on such a map.
Of course not always correct,
In the game map the german occupation dates are in the east and the soviet dates are in the west.
Also some main light houses and minefields around the Barbarossa start. Added german naming.
( Interesting is the swedish minefield just ready at Barbarossa start)
