March 27 1942
Cairo falled in enemy hands and Egypt surrendered. Foreign Minister reported diplomatic success Turkey +6% Axis. A new defensive line was established between Jerusalem and Ammam.
Germany 79 land units vs 50 USSR.
In the Baltic States our defensive position at Parnu was about to be outflanked…
The city of Smolensk was captured by the nazis. Our engineers started digging new forts around Moscow.

Dnepropetrovsk was captured in the Ukraine. Our positions around Kherson are strong and our defense line around the great river bend seems solid. General Zhukov hesitated. He had massed his tanks around Kharkov waiting for an opportunity to counterattack again. This 3 tank units were the best units that the Red Army had and are exposed in a vulnerable position… The best thing would have been to position them further back, along the prepared fortifications defending Rostov and Voroshilograd. His final decision was to leave them around Kharkov and reinforce the area with extra AA and AT, a decision that would change the whole WAR!

April 24 1942
The weather cleared in the Ukraine (we excepted mud or rain)… The invaders attacked with strong air support and run over our whole Kharkov defensive position like a tornado with new tanks level 3. The Guard Army, the Heavy tanks and 1 tank corps were destroyed and the second tank corps was severely damaged. The powerful blow left open a huge gap and our surviving troops retreated to defensive positions around Rostov. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the Stavka immediately transferred the 2 mechanized infantry units that were stationed around Pskov to assist in the defense of Rostov, thereby greatly debilitating our Northern front and the Leningrad defenses. This mechanized units will be dearly missed and their absence would have very serious consequences later on. It was a GAME CHANGING ATTACK and from here the Red Army would be a weakened force unable to withstand or stop the invaders…

May 22 1942
Capturing Melitopol the invaders effectively isolated the Crimean peninsula from the rest of the country. The numbers of available Red Army troops are diminishing at an alarming rate and the front is thinly held at many parts…

Tallin was captured, Pskov defenders destroyed and our line had to be moved back to a line Narva-Novgorod. Our last defensive positions around Smolensk are by now destroyed or about to be outflanked. As welcomed reinforcements, 3 new AT units were created (by script) at Gorky.

China
The Chinese continued their advance Northwest along the plains with more troops and soon reached Chengdu. But they left empty the plain Hex South of the river and General Jack Ma ordered a counterattack. The Chinese light tanks advanced to occupy the plain Hex South of the river and effectively cut the Japanese supply… We calculated that all 5 Japanese units were left out of supply for next turn!

The battle of the Norwegian Sea begun. 5 U-boote and 2 maritime bombers were raiding the Murmansk convoys and a sub-destroyer group was created around 3 US escort carriers with 2 British CVs. They were surprised by the ice in May! For the next turns air/sea battles took place in that area, both sides taking losses, but the convoy route remained open for the whole summer…

June 19 1942
After a brief pause the Germans launched again another offensive in the Middle East. Jerusalem, defended by a fully entrenched British Army, was easily captured. Leaving behind another “volunteer” Indian Infantry unit as rearguard at Amman, our troops continued their long retreat towards Baghdad. A Canadian tank unit arrived at Basra after a long journey at sea.
All of the U-Boote operating in the Norwegian Sea were by now damaged to some extend…

China
The Chinese troops that we thought would be out of supply were not and they destroyed a good number of our units. It is still a mystery for me how those troops were supplied, maybe IIo4Tu can give us the solution... [8|]

The invaders reached Novgorod and were gathering a strong Army group to push beyond Smolensk towards Moscow. More bad news, the Germans breached our defensive position at Kherson and entered the Crimea peninsula reaching Kerch.
Germany 86 land units vs 48 USSR.
So far the Germans have invested 2150 MPPs in research and Japan only 850 MPPs vs 5375 MPPs USA, 2075 MPPs UK and 1675 MPPs the USSR.

August 14 1942
After taking Amman and Damascus the Germans made a pause. The Yanks have arrived to Iraq under General Patton and the Allies have taken control of the skies. A combined strategic bomber offensive took place and all cities and towns occupaied by the invaders were heavily damaged to 0-1 supply level.

Army Group North reached the outskirts of Leningrad, surprising our engineers that were about to finish new defensive works. They were forced to stop the works and were redeployed or moved out of the way. The Leningrad front was again reinforced with troops coming from the Stalingrad area…

September 25 1942
Rzhev, Morozovsk, Kotelnikovo, Vyazma and Kaluga are captured.

October 23 1942

For the 2nd turn in a row sand storms in the Middle East, no action as our planes were grounded. The Germans kept pushing in the USSR and the Japanese around Irkutsk. For the last 5 turns no MMPs were sunk and the Soviet are getting around 250 MPPs every turn. Rangoon was captured and Burma surrendered. Many Allied naval assets defend India. US troops started to concentrate and train in the East coast.

Rain in the Middle East, no action again. For the 3rd turn in a row our planes were unable to fly. 5 tanks corps operate now in the area and new type 3 Spitfires fighters started to arrive.

November 20 1942
Both Stalingrad and Irkutsk were captured. In the South of Russia we had clear weather for 2 consecutive turns! Not even mud or rain in December! The Germans roll over our defenses in the Caucasus. Highly frustrating and unhistorical weather.

January 1943
The Germans captured Grozny and Tbilisi menacing Baku and Saratov.
