Allies won initiative, despite Axis +1, and move first. CW and FR established ASW patrols and escorts and kept a reserve of two corps+ART embarked in NSea. The CW attempt on the Baltic convoys was unsuccessful again, when will they ever learn? SOV send SUB again to CS and keep flying their heavy bombers to the Far East. JPN still does not know, how to counter that threat efficiently.

Not much to do this impulse, as weather in Europe is too forbidding. JPN made successful stratbomb raid on CHN.

FRA uses fine weather in NT to optimise their defenses in the North and the South. CW keeps all her air force ready near the continent. SOV air force has reached Far East in full strength.

Finally GER can declare war on Netherlands. The Port Attack yield only the minimum 4sp. The two land combats are assaults at high odds, almost automatic. Both Amsterdam and Rotterdam are taken. While the DoW was costly in USE (a 4 chit was added), JPN occupied 3 Chinese cities without any US reaction. Disappointingly, almost the whole Dutch fleet escapes and continues to fight as part of the RN.

CW tries again to get the GER FTR committed, which can either cover BalS against naval combat or Hamburg/Kiel ports against port attack or FAC against stratbombing. As before, no losses. As much as Axis is cursed with fighter losses while fighting in advantageous position, the Axis is satisfied by low losses from strategic warfare so far.

Allies take a full pass, which guarantee the turn to end. This was deemed necessary, because JPN might have had a very low chance to take Kunming, if Axis would get another impulse.

40MA Summary
JPN is at the peak of her might, with hindsight I can reveal, from here it is only downhill. GER has ticked all the boxes at the right time so far, maybe a little bit delayed, but still on track. ITA becomes restless, El Duce wants some action soon, too. Having no experience in Global War scenario, I don't know how to react properly to the looming attack by SOV in Asia.
