Haven't found a bug yet, but can confirm that empires sometimes get images from "other" shipset. In my case Napoar heavy cruiser got replaced with Phantom pirates carrier and Drushoka mining base replaced with Shakturi base_0.
Looks like the problem is with designs or how game assigns images\designs to empires.

@Alvek, yes, it sure looks that way. But from my testing, the shipset mismatch does not occur with the original default base game .exe. I've tried with the 1.9.5.12 and 1.9.5.7 official patch .exe and the issue does not occur. So we can safely assume that the shipset mismatch bug is either due to the Bacon Mod 1.82 .exe and/or the Expansion Mod .exe.

This happened with bacon. Sometimes some races would go nuts and use multiple family images. No one knew why.

Have you fixed race files in your mod so there are no pirates with -1 image index?

Ah, so this shipset mismatch is a bug in the Bacon Mod .exe that apparently has carried over to the Expansion Mod .exe.

Well, hopefully Alvek can figure it out and fix it… :mrgreen:

Curious. Been testing a fresh 1.9.5.12 game install, then applied Bacon Mod 1.82 (without Expansion Mod) and have discovered that the ship set mismatches mentioned before in this thread are no more.

So I gather the mismatch is included in the Expansion Mod .exe, rather than in the Bacon Mod .exe, despite that some of you are saying the mismatch issue was already a known bug in the Bacon Mod.

Hope this new information helps resolve the issue!

Copying the family's 0-26 from the base game to the customization folder seems to have alleviated the issue.

If I remember only certain races goofed up on the ship image randomization problem. Atuuk was one. Maybe Boskara too. So if your going to test I suggest including one of those in your game. I can personally verify it did happen before the expansion mod, as the other thread elucidated.

Thanks for the tip. Yes, the mismatch only affects a few factions, not all. I have played with only the Bacon Mod without noticing it, most probably because the faction(s) I’ve played weren’t affected by it.

I just happened to notice the mismatch with the Expansion Mod, this time most likely by play-testing a faction that was affected by it. Most intriguing. Let’s hope Alvek can sort this out…

EDIT: It won't allow access to download!!! Google Drive says something about terms of use that prohibit access to the file.

Cool! By the way, ever since 1.07.02, you haven’t included the Passenger.txt file. Is it still needed? I’m using the last version of it from 1.07.00…
No, you need this file to use Passenger command in BaconMod, I changed behavior to use UI.

Hey @Alvek! This probably isn't a BaconMod issue, but any idea where in the game it renders the rings on gas giants?

I've looked through all the files and can't seem to find it. There has been this ring 'clipping' issue where the ends get chopped off. Only happens on some planets. Been there for a long time. I've tried to figure it out but haven't had any luck.

Yes that is annoying. I never understood it either.

This is new. I've never seen it. Also on startup sometimes it hangs and I have to task manager kill the game and restart. Happens maybe 10% of the time.
