Almost concentration on he177,fw190A, and me 262A?
Well, yes I'm guilty <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> Well as I feel I can give away so much: my fighter units supporting the southern attack saw a lot of combat and have an average exp of about 80 with near full strength (i have one with 94!). The average of the fighter unit exp on the front is about 70-75. My bombers suffered big time losses so they are lower exp, and nowhere near full strength. My strategy is based upon production of high quality hardware, which so far made the difference. Hopefully the enemy spies won't listen here so my production looks like this (which I can change):

Panther 14 factory puts out 216 weekly
Tiger 2 factory puts out 30
Nashorn 7 factory puts out 80

Me262A 11 factory puts out 111
Ju87pzjag 2 factory puts out 31
hs129 1 factory puts out 13
ju52 1 factory puts out 15

he177 5 factory puts out 66

Now where the average per factory is below 15, there the production raises quickly. I only began to produce do217 and some more bombers, and me262a production is going up fast. Now I feel this production is giving me huge advantage. But as the t34/85's and kv85's (not to mention js series) arrive the free hunt of the panthers ends.

It was quiet on the ground, but a few air battles were fought, with Munich being hit by bombers again doing light damage to the Heavy Industry there. Also airfields in the central Poland area were hit by air raids, one of which got through and damaged a number of planes on the ground.

The weather eased, although the ground is covered in snow, allowing the Panzers to strike again.

The offense has continued in the snow. As result Poltava has been captured, and 4 soviet armies destroyed. The O.K.H. has now a big decision to make: 1. get stalingrad and baku, 2. go for moscow ? As we did not saw this kind of succes ahead, we don't have planes... Te werhmacht is in highly aggresive mood and attack at every clear and snow turn. The enemy is too strong for attack in both directions. Stalingrad, Baku and Saratov seems easily makeable but then the Sovietunion will be crippled but not defeated (not enough victory points), as then moscow will be very hard to get until mid 45. To go for moscow seems highly risky as the midle and northern forces of the enemy would be left behind. Any suggestion from the readers?

The poor front line men have almost no chance of holding anymore, shattering and running away upon hearing the rumble of advancing panzers and the Luftwaffe in the sky. A few poorly managed counterattacks were launched, losing heavily, although air combat worked out okay. Also, Trieste was bombed, causing heavy damage to its artillery factory.

Preparations are being rushed for final defensive lines in all major cities in the rear, and T34s with the 85mm gun are being rushed into service. However, without air support these tanks will be sitting ducks for the enemy attacks.

Snow

The panzers begun the clearing the Kharkov area. Several soviet armies were retreated (one of them was the 5th shock full with the new kv85's) and one destroyed. The simple solider of the wermacht begins to hope that the soviet masses really begin to get smaller and smaller. O.K.H. ordered all commanders to be on high alert as the enemy is still strong, and always striked back very hard in the past after looking defeated. The enemy air force begins to challenge the Luftwaffe again. The challenge was defeated but the we had significant losses.

Dont listen to varjager he's crazy, where he says go for Moscow, I say take Moscow!

What I would do for a Tiger or Panther in my game.
I have strong Panzer units but crap tanks....its so sad <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

Counterattacks were launched in various areas, with some success only in the Bialystok area. Otherwise things were quiet in the air, as air units prepare and wait for further blizzards to hit.

The werhmacht did stationed large panzer forces for the defence of the Bialystok area and the vital supply line of the southern offensive forces. This panzers attacked with great force to ambush the soviet offensive forces. Operation was not as succesfull as it should have been. The reformed and now full strength 2nd ss panzer korps lead the attack with our 57th panzer korps to defeat the soviet 75th army and so encircle the 1st shock army. But the soviets heroicly held against 6:1 odds... So the 1st shock army now has the chance to flee. In the south our panzers forced a tank army to surrender and continued the clearing of the Kharkov area. The Luftwaffe in the south striked the airfields of the enemy with great succes. Nearly 1000 soviet planes destroyed this week.

Strong counterattacks were launched in the north to destroy the panzer korps that penetrated the line. Partial air superiority was gained in the area, but the final attack on the surrounded panzers failed. Other counterattacks were launched in the south without any success. Meanwhile, Kharkov was given up without a fight. The Red Air Force commander was sent to Siberia after the failure of planes on CAP to defend the airfields pounded to dust, even though 400 planes were assigned the duty for one army group.

The encircled panzers near Brest-Litovsk were liberated, and the soviet shock army in the way heavily defeated. We took Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk from the fleeing enemy. Our advance were too fast for the logistics so now we have to make a stop for resupply.

A counterattack, with an edge in air strength, was launched in the central region against the escaping Panzer Korps. It lost large numbers of Panthers and Tigers under heavy air attack. The 9th Army airfields were also hit fairly hard, damaging and destroying a fair number of planes on the ground. Only small numbers of fighters were sent to defend the Panzers, due to so many planes being based in the Ukraine. As the year rolls over into 1944, the quality of some of the Luftwaffe units appears to be dropping slightly.

On the central front some small line shortening occured. This has nothing to do with enemy actions, it's only about making the defence line stronger. The 3 panzer korpses went in to defence in the central front after succesfully stoping the soviet offense. The tales about soviet air and ground succes are only soviet propaganda (I wish <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> )! In the south we began clearing the southern flank with our panzers. The result is 2 destroyed soviet armies, and the fall of Zaporozhe.

The pursuing infantry, caught in the open during snowy weather, were hit hard by counterattacks from our forces. Air combat in the central front resulted in heavy losses on both sides, and the 9th army airfields were hit by a heavy air raid again. The Wehrmacht forces in the north and central areas appear weak and ripe for a counterattack (at least Comrade Stalin believes so;-)).

So a soviet assault on the peaceloving reich (empty ny stomach) was a bad move. Good try but it looks as though the inherent superiority of the axis side will win through.
