EA offers me their games for Playstation as well as for the Xbox. Which one should I choose? Which machine is better?

I believe Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 are roughly the same generation.  Playstation 3 has the blueray player.  The only reason I know anything about them is because my son has an Xbox 360 and I looked into them a bit before Christmas shopping.  I don't really play anything on them.

ps3 has better graphics and is a blue ray player. problem is that they are just starting to release games that take advantage of the ps3 graphics.
