I-19 is one of the subs on the list of problem subs and it just happened to be parked at Wake. I transfered the original Glen unit to Wake
so that it can receive it's plane from the pipeline and just to see what would happen I transfered a cruiser's 2 Jakes to the sub and they
went onboard alright but now both of them are shown as "maint./damaged". So I don't know if they are in crates or are just down for
maint. or what. I'll check into this situation tomorrow and see what's changed if anything.

And another surprise just now. I found out that Batangas is a good source of resources. It's not a source per se' but it's got resources
laying by the side of the road and all I gotta do is go get 'em. I've already dispatched at least one TF to getting some Batangas res.

And then my Claudes at Buna decided to do some straffing and I'm not sure if raids like this are doing any good.......no damage was
listed so I'm not sure whether or not to keep going with these raids.

Claudes are armed with 7.7 mm MGs and 30 kg bombs. They are not doing any good, I suggest you stop wasting good pilots.

Later you get fighters that are suitable for ground attack, for example Oscar IIa have decent bomb load (2 x 250 kg).

Subs can only operate 1 plane.

Historically only Glen was submarine capable float plane. In this game subs can operate any type of float planes, but I think it's a bit gamey to use other models than Glen.

Thank you for your information. The straffing runs will indeed stop.

Okay........you've convinced me to use just Glen's on the subs. I want to play an accurate game you see. I'll get back to you about
what happened to the Jakes on I-19.

Here's the strategic picture. I'm having new feelings about Burma. I'm thinking it would be a might good thing to cut off China from all the
supply etc. it might get from India by invading and capturing Burma. The problem is that there's a nasty lack of people right now. I just
bought the 14th Div out of the Mongolian Garrison and it's moving to Kiejo for further transport. I haven't decided where to ship it. It
probably wouldn't influence things all that much in Manila. I'm guessing Singapore needs it the most. I'm still unsettled about my forces
holding the line near Singapore. He's got more people there than I do and I expect him to start attacking there pretty soon. He can do
mouseovers just as well as I can and he'll figure out that he's got more people in one spot than I do and he'll start taking advantage of it
I'm thinking.

This is TF 150. It's one of the bigger TF's w/ about 21 ships and even though some of them aren't completely empty I'm sending the TF
to Sapparo to pick up about 50K of the 67K of resources that are there. There's at least 1 Allied sub operating in the area I'm sailing in
but I'm sending a PB as escort for the TF......I hope that's enough. Sapparo has a 900(0) Resource center but there's not much fuel
there so I'm telling the TF commander, Lt. Larry Hori, that he's not supposed to re-fuel when he gets there.

Here's TF 161's situation. I'm unloading the 7th JNAF dudes even though the 33rd JNAF dudes are already there because I plan to
move the 7th to Lunga as soon as the engineers arrive and start expanding the port and airfield there. I expect those engineers in the
next two weeks or so. There's some at Bataan Island that I have plans for here and it's going to take that long to get them here. I guess.

I've had a better look at those engineers on Bataan Island and found out that they are the wrong kind of engineers and I'll have to look
around some more for the right kind of engineers. On the other hand I've found some more AF dudes that I can send somewhere else.

I found the right kind of engineers at Balabac and B. doesn't need them as much as Lunga does so that's the next thing I need to do is
move these guys to Lunga.

TF 183 is the one that delivered some resources to Hankow yesterday and the TF name field gives the Hankow resource level as of
yesterday, which if we subtract what we have for a resource level in Hankow now then we get about 300 resources per day being
consumed by Hankow. At that rate Hankow will need a delivery of resources in about 21 days. So I'm thinking I can just set up a small
transport whose sole job is to keep Hankow serviced in resources. TF 183 isn't doing anything important so I'll just use it....I'll sail down
to Shanghi and siphon off some resources and take them back to Hankow, etc.

There's only about 600 miles between Keijo and Nagasaki so even though the loads are small there are a lot of trips made over time and
I'm thinking that adding those big-mothers transports a lot of res can be moved. Japan needs it and is going to need it for a long time
yet.

I just now discovered that I need to move some engineers to Cebu to repair the industry there. The LI I don't care as much about as I do
the resource centers. It's 0(20) now and that not exactly chicken feed. Once it's up and pumping out resources there will be more to
truck to Tokyo. Or somewhere.

Here's another one for you experts: in the pop-up there's a line that displays the value of the hex to Japan and it's 21(3) and I'm
wondering if the (3) means it's got 3 units of damage to repair or what. How do I repair the 3 points of damage?

TF 321 is my heavy guns south of Tarawa and we're chasing some Allied surface assets and I'm thinking the Allied boats might be low on
fuel by now but I have two AO's in tow and I'm doubting that the Allies planned ahead on an exit strategy for this situation so they might
just go dead in the water any day now. Besides these Jap ships ( TF 321 ) I have a carrier within range of the Allied boats so there may
be another carrier a strike or two occur tomorrow. A couple more strikes like the one that happened today will just about finish off the
Allied group I think.

I was checking out the various opportunities available to this TF when I discovered to my amazement that Bobo is a source of oil. I'm
posting about this because I'd like to share this rare find w/ you and you can applaud too. Or at least celebrate somehow.

TF 634 is the one I've been using to do naval bombardments of Manila with. It looks like the naval bombardments might have to be
temporarily put on hold. Unless and until I can dig up another BB to put in w/ the escorts. Plus I think while I'm looking around for a BB
that I'll send that DMS dude in to the Bataan hex to clean up the minefield all the way. No idea how long that will take. That DMS boat
has been clearing that field for about 2 days already. But I've still traversed it w/ mine casualties each time. That's what we in the
computer programming business call a "clue".
