Turn 17. May/June 1942. Start of Turn.

2/22/21, 3:39 PM - Ronnie: <Media omitted>
2/22/21, 3:39 PM - [Allied]: axis place units
2/22/21, 3:39 PM - [Axis]: got it
2/22/21, 3:46 PM - [Allied]: I can push through to the start of next turn, but after that I'm pretty much done. Was up at 4:30 am for some errands ... bit tired ...
2/22/21, 3:47 PM - [Axis]: understand
2/22/21, 3:48 PM - [Allied]: Specifically, got up at 4:40 am in order to get my workout, shower and breakfast in before having to take care of some errands early this morning. It was like I was back at work! Glad I only have to do this occasionally and not every workday like before retirement.
2/22/21, 3:52 PM - [Axis]: back to u
2/22/21, 3:52 PM - [Axis]: <Media omitted>
2/22/21, 3:53 PM - [Axis]: Modify the lending agreement from Germany to Italy by increasing lent resources to 6.
2/22/21, 3:53 PM - [Axis]: If Axis win initiative they will move first, but no re-roll
2/22/21, 4:01 PM - [Allied]: got it
2/22/21, 4:16 PM - [Allied]: Resource Lending Changes: (1) Germany increases from 3 to 6 non-oil RPs sent to Italy, (2) USA stops giving 5 oil to the CW.
2/22/21, 4:16 PM - [Allied]: <Media omitted>
2/22/21, 4:17 PM - [Allied]: Turn 17. May/June 1942. Initiative: Axis +1, Allies win tie.
2/22/21, 4:18 PM - [Allied]: Axis=6+1=7, Allied=5. Axis win and elect to move first.

Turn 17. May/June 1942. Axis #1.

2/22/21, 4:18 PM - [Allied]: Turn 17. May/June 1942. Weather.
2/22/21, 4:19 PM - [Allied]: d10=1, spring storms hit the globe.
2/22/21, 4:20 PM - [Allied]: <Media omitted>
2/22/21, 4:21 PM - [Allied]: I'm actually surprise you wouldn't have requested a re-roll if you lost. Though you didn't.
2/22/21, 4:22 PM - [Axis]: I certainly thought about it
2/22/21, 4:23 PM - [Allied]: <Media omitted>
2/22/21, 4:23 PM - [Allied]: axis impulse 1
2/22/21, 4:23 PM - [Allied]: Well, doesn'
2/22/21, 4:23 PM - [Allied]: Well, doesn't this give you Suez without having to fight?
2/22/21, 4:23 PM - [Axis]: but because you win ties you would have had better than a 50-50 chance on the re-roll
2/22/21, 4:24 PM - [Axis]: Yea, it's a big deal Axis getting the initiative
2/22/21, 4:25 PM - [Allied]: With axis+1 and allies winning ties the chance of your winning the first roll was 55%. If you lost and requested a re-roll, the chance of winning that re-roll was 45%. So the chance of winning the initiative if you were willing to request a re-roll was 75.25% versus 55%.
2/22/21, 4:25 PM - [Axis]: Before the first roll yes
2/22/21, 4:26 PM - [Axis]: But had I lost the first roll, the 75% chance was long gone
2/22/21, 4:26 PM - [Axis]: At that point was 45%
2/22/21, 4:26 PM - [Allied]: Sure, but that's how it works.
2/22/21, 4:27 PM - [Allied]: Or at least how I look at it if I really want the initiative and can request a re-roll.
2/22/21, 4:28 PM - [Allied]: The only fly in the ointment for the axis is the weather. May, and I stress may, be the only thing that saves me in central Russia.
2/22/21, 4:28 PM - [Axis]: It certainly helps you for sure
2/22/21, 4:29 PM - [Axis]: That could have been a fairly devastating double impulse with good weather
2/22/21, 4:29 PM - [Allied]: Anyway, I'm done for the day, which gives you plenty of time to mull over the final destruction of the allies.
2/22/21, 4:30 PM - [Axis]: Ok, have a good rest of the day
2/22/21, 4:30 PM - [Allied]: Will do, you too.
2/22/21, 4:30 PM - [Allied]: It's 🥩🥃🍸
2/22/21, 4:31 PM - [Axis]: I'm having a bourbon as we speak
2/22/21, 4:32 PM - [Allied]: During dinner I'll have a margarita. After dinner it's a nice single blend whiskey.

2/23/21, 7:41 AM - [Axis]: lol

Turn 17. May/June 1942. Axis #1. (Continued).

2/23/21, 8:14 AM - [Axis]: <Media omitted>
2/23/21, 8:16 AM - [Axis]: Send you the land move so you could let me know where to rebase the ships in the Suez and the planes in Alexandria. The Axis have one move left. The 5-4 infantry is going to move into Suez and then along railroad into Alexandria. You execute the move yourself and send it back to me after your rebasing or let me know where to rebase everything.
2/23/21, 9:05 AM - [Allied]: Shops to aden.
2/23/21, 9:07 AM - [Allied]: Whichever planes can reach Malta to Malta, rest to farest costal hex south along the red sea.
2/23/21, 9:07 AM - [Axis]: roger
2/23/21, 9:14 AM - [Axis]: I was mistaken about the draw against Germany and Japan for the entry chit added for the occupation of the Suez. It's your choice. Against whom do you want to draw?
2/23/21, 9:29 AM - [Allied]: Let me look.
2/23/21, 9:35 AM - [Allied]: I really don't want another chit but if I have to take one put it in the Japanese entry pool. Unless I have a way of increasing tension in the Germany pool?
2/23/21, 9:36 AM - [Axis]: You won't have that chance until eot step
2/23/21, 9:36 AM - [Axis]: You have to take one so will put against Japan

Turn 17. May/June 1942. Axis #1. (Concluded).

2/23/21, 10:07 AM - [Axis]: back to u
2/23/21, 10:07 AM - [Axis]: <Media omitted>
2/23/21, 1:02 PM - [Allied]: got it. plan to get to my impulse in an hour or two.
2/23/21, 1:05 PM - [Allied]: need to check the board but CW and US will probably both take navals, which means my impulse is likely to take a while as I'm a slow poke when it comes to naval impulses.
2/23/21, 1:06 PM - [Axis]: HeHe no worries. Take your time
2/23/21, 1:06 PM - [Axis]: The snow definitely made me skittish about doing much in USSR
2/23/21, 1:07 PM - [Axis]: You've accumulated quite a few white print units as your quality improves
2/23/21, 1:09 PM - [Allied]: One upside to your Battle of the Atlantic, Med and Egypt is that you've left the Soviets relatively alone for several turns. Something that Comrade Stalin is most grateful. Though Comrade Stalin has a funny way of showing his gratitude.
2/23/21, 1:36 PM - [Allied]: By the way thanks for letting me "adjust" my CPs RTB after the fact. I believe that being able to make these adjustments after the fact is part of the mitigation to MWiF recalculating production and convoy routes. I rely on the unused CPs screen on the global map to either fill in gaps or RTB excess CPs. It infuriates me when you add a CP to fill a gap or RTB an excess CP and then MWiF recalculates and production doesn't change (in the case of adding a CP) or gets worse (in the case of RTB a CP). Of all my gripes with MWiF production planning that's my biggest!
2/23/21, 1:38 PM - [Axis]: no problem. I agree its only just considering what the commonwealth has to deal with
