Still seeing oddities in the aircraft stack level...maybe I screwed up the install. Version indicates p3 from July 9

What oddities?
The original p3 had stack calculation in error. The latest upload should be correct though.

The training setting seems to be the culprit....or I'm simply misinterpreting Stack level

So group of 42 Zeros counts as 14 planes when in training mission. [Has been so since stacking]
Group of 24 Sallys counts as 8 (24/3) x engines (2). That is 16 planes.

Thnx. Never really paid attention to it...till the recent bug reports. Learn something new everyday.

As it does not show an 'of xxx', Tokyo is a large enough AF (9 or 10) that is does not need to count physical planes. So should never get an overstacked AF penalty.

Thank you very much, michaelm. You're work continues to AMAZE in its value.
Perhaps to resolve the "locating the patch" issue, why not have a sticky just for betas to which only you and the dev team can contribute?

So much WitP and so little time to play....

I know this has been asked and answered before, but (insert adjective about the forum search function here)...
Will the post 1055 update overwrite a prior beta and what is the procedure to update?

Yes, and it comes with it's own installer so clicking on the exe is the procedure.

RE: Patch 06 - Public Beta - Build 1108j (build03)
Is there a piece of documentation I am missing where the beta patch prevents ground attacks by allied level and torpedo bombers?
I've started a new head-to-head scenario to run as a testbed to verify that I'm not missing anything. Sure enough, the Jap ground attacks go off pretty much every turn regardless of aircraft. But the allied attacks never go off. Haven't gotten a dive bomber to try yet, but previous testing suggests that dive bombing still works for the allies. Medium, heavy, light and torpedo bombing does not work as a ground attack.
Air base, naval and port attacks still work.

I just tried it with some B-17s and it worked okay. Used Dauntless' and they worked too.
