RE: WitPTracker 1.0
Ken, I can't tell what is wrong, but I am sure it has to do with Vista-64. I know it does some funny things.
What happens if you open the cmd window and do a cd "c:\matrix games\chs\war in the pacific" Does the OS find the directory and can you do a dir command?

RE: WitPTracker 1.0
Ken,
unable to find PW data -- recheck that the witptracker.properties file is correct. Seeing as this is a new computer, maybe you haven't initialized it.
Is this the only error now ?

RE: WitPTracker 1.0
you know I notice that the batch file is running c:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe , and I am running 64 bit, would that be the trouble?

RE: WitPTracker 1.0
Ken,
No need to show me your Password Ken ... edit the post so that your opponent can't see that
OK, let's start from scratch ... did you do what NickWright wrote ?
1. Have the savefile in the tracker folder to begin with.
2. Make sure all the trackerdb*. are deleted.
3. Run the batch file.
What happens ? Do you have skype or msn or gmail chat, cause we can do this there instead of writing a forum message each time ?
Also, by default, the windows install provides a "Executable Jar" file type so that double clicking on a jar executes it using javaw.exe

RE: WitPTracker 1.0
Got it working, loaded the file into the Tracker Dir and it worked, never had to do that before which is probably why I had not done it already[X(]

Ken,
good news, yeah you might have to copy over the files and rename them. Hope this works out for you ...

WitPTracker now at 1.6
It's been over six months and while we've rested quite a bit, we have made some decent fixes and enhancements to the program. And with that, here is Version 1.6.
The following problems were (hopefully) fixed:
[*]Read turn hanging when no pilots have any kills
[*]LCU Formation comparison and handling of device upgrades
[*]Sorting issues in Base Panel and Device Panel
[*]Removal of split air groups from the database after they've been recombined
[*]Ship Upgrades for two months out wasn't wrapping properly around the new year
[*]Assorted small stuff we probably forgot we fixed
The following features / changes have been added:
[*]Sorting in all history pop-ups
[*]Industry panel added columns for supply and fuel
[*]Ship Production added some pop-ups
[*]Alert when R&D has been accelerated
[*]Alert and handling when an air group changes its maximum size
[*]AV (approximate) displayed in LCU panel and LCU history
[*]Export to comma-separated file for several aspects (Alerts, Devices, Device History, Airframe Production, Engine Production, LCUs, LCU History). This is from the File menu and the files are created in the "local" directory. Comments welcome on this...
[*]TF Panel added information on aircraft total and per-ship; new pop-up showing air groups in the TF
[*]New summary tabs: LCU information, Air Group information; additional info in Naval and Pilots tabs
[*]More ship classes to filter in Ship Panel
[*]Filtering by aircraft type in the Air Groups panel
[*]Assorted small stuff we probably forget we added
Note that databases from versions earlier than 1.5 will be automatically upgraded by the program to add new information on some of the objects (version 1.5 databases will not need to be upgraded for this release).
The program can be found in the regular place (http://witptracker.googlepages.com)
Thanks for all of your support, encouragement, comments and patience as we polish this thing.

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

RE: WitPTracker now at 1.6
One thing that would be handy is an alert for a ship repairing to 0 SYS damage.
And a hearty thank you for your efforts.

Yeah, I think you asked for that one before, no?
I'll put it on my list for sure this time... [;)]
And you're most welcome.
By the way, let me know how the LCU upgrade stuff works.

RE: WitPTracker now at 1.6
First of a few messages about some of the new features (If you haven't seen them in my AAR) & some hopefully simple tutorials of the new stuff we've incorporated. As I said to Floyd the other day, I've been a bit negligent in telling you all what some of it means, and want to make amends. And hopefully I won't scare you off too much from learning this tool...
No Nemo121 this is not from our game, so don't think you'll gleam any useful info here [:-][:D]
First - Industry (Supply and Fuel)...the corner stone of all construction.

Upgrading ... (should have started with this I guess) ...

Also if you ever try to initialise the DB first time and you made a mistake with the properties, you should delete the DB files as I have said above, change the properties and then try again ...
