1.6 Available The program can be found in the regular place ( http://witptracker.googlepages.com )
New screen of the TF - air pop-up...

As you can see fairly self explanitory (although you might be thinking why 200 /210 - Well one group is off the TF). Floyd and I talked about including these but it didn't make the cut this time, but I'll see if I can add a switch so you can see where those wayward groups are in the future.

Speaking as someone who is playing the Japanese side, for the first time, with production on, I think the engine planning information is a godsend. Thank you! [&o]

Please continue the tutorials.  Even though I play as the Allies, it's a great demo of functions I haven't yet used.

With R&D, is there any way to show how many planes have been built after the R&D factory(ies) have been repaired? In other words, is there a way to show, perhaps in the air production screen, how far along the x100 planes a current R&D project has accumulated and give us a view of the possibility of early airframe arrival?

BTW, I've been working with Tracker for a couple of months and it is just fantastic. Keep up the good work.

Bug Report for 1.6

Post by herwin »

I'm blowing off during initialisation with an array index out of range exception. The index is -1 and the place is SummaryPanel.SetSummary(SummaryPanel.java:662). This happens whenever I try to run with an existing database. If there's no database, the program is fine. The existing database can be one created by 1.6 or inherited from 1.5.

No Nemo121 this is not from our game, so don't think you'll gleam any useful info here [:-][:D]

Sorry, we will not include that information as it is not shown in the game, but thanks for the support

Herwin, I know why this is a problem for you as I just made a test, it comes from incorrectly assigned bases to regions. If in the past you assigned based to regions using the import-base region definitions and there was an error. eg using the RHS-EEO bases when you are playing another version of RHS - then an error occurs.

This gets translated into screwing up the system, my snafu I'm afraid and I didn't see it before release.

To fix it: -
1. because you had problems with 1.5, I guess you are using 1.4. Manually go through and make sure all the bases are correctly assigned to regions. Then try to upgrade.
or
1. Start afresh - new DB, load a turn. Then go through and manually assign your bases to regions. (If you let me know the scenario you are using I'll make you a cluster file for it over the weekend)

Sorry again Herwin, we seem to make life difficult for you.

Mini Tutorial -- Setting regions and Clusters
First it is not the intention of this AAR to be purely about WitpTracker ... but I get some questions so I want there to be a place where they are answered.

1. After loading the savefile the first time you might notice that some bases are not assigned to regions. This must be done to ensure that all the economic data is collated properly.

Image

2. Click File --> Import Base-Regions Definitions

Image

3. A dialogue box will open, go into the folder Region-Mappings

Image

4. Pick your mod and click open (I'm using the EmpireAblaze mod)

Image

5. After clicking open and then confirming, all the bases will be assigned to regions. Next --> Setting Bases and Regions and exporting.

PHOTOS
(AND just so you know I'm using photo bucket to show these pics)
1. Make an account with them http://photobucket.com/ (be careful - I never give accurate details!), upload the photos
2. copy each url onto a message ...

Code: Select all

http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk135/n01487477/WITP_IMPORT/Import_3.jpg
3. In this forum area copy the link and place image tags around it ...

Code: Select all

[img]http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk135/n01487477/WITP_IMPORT/Import_3.jpg[/img]
4. That's it ... easy right!!!

Mini Tutorial - Assigning Base to Region
Say you find a base that you want to reassign ... Wake Is. Is certainly not West Coast USA

Image

So click on the Region Column and scroll to the required Region ... click .. that's it ...

Image

What about making a new region and assigning a base ?
1. File - > regions

Image

2. Click New and type in a name and click "Create"

Image

3. Go back and change the Base-region assignment on the drop-down list

Next ... a bit more on saving clusters (please if you have good cluster files for mods can you please send them to us - for inclusion)

Reunion was unassigned... If anyone needs it, I have a region file now for RHS 7.95. It's posted to the back-up site. Look at the back end of the page. Damian, you can grab it for your collection.

Damian or Floyd,

Is there an easy way to see what repaired the turn before?? I would like to be able to look at a list of where each 1000 supply points was spent during the turn on aircraft factories, oil, resources, etc..

Micheal,
you can see what will repair the next turn  ... if a base has 10K at it - it will repair (the building happens before supplies are moved) ... I get your point though.

There are a few other ways to find the info, but not a comprehensive list.

Damian and floyd, a quick note that for the first time I remember in a long time I had a hang up loading the next turn. I have created a new DB with the version 1.6 release. I had loaded about 4 or 5 turns and last night It got to comparing leaders and just quit. I gave it at least 30 minutes but it never completed. I exited and restarted the bat file and everything seemed to load ok and the next couple of turns have loaded right.

Hmmm... I thought I had all of that licked.
Did it happen on each load of a new turn (before the restart), or just one?
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Just the one and it was about the 4th turn I loaded into the DB. It doesn't seem to have caused any problems and the last 4 or 5 turns have loaded without a problem.
