44-4-9/10: Guys note jpeg 8,9 and 12. A night shot of my bombing missions after the Chicoms clear the road to Uterich. I was taking my time clearing Pegu as my left hook marched down the NorthSouth Burma jungle trail. John will react. Funny thing was the jap northern line had a hole in the middle of the trail so I got an extra hex, I just marched thru the line into his rear.

44-4-15:
Alot of action.
1. The chicom attack east of Chang mai has unhinged the jap line. Note destruction of jap division south of ChaingMai. Allied air power in support is helping to push the offensive, note the bomb and straf option on some MRB. Recent delivery of 100k supply into Rangoon helps. At some point the IJA will plug this line, just a question of where.
2. At Tenant creek another massive 80 plane b24j raid disrupts the 12th division as allies clear and capture Tenant.
3. The allied move to Attu and adjacent islands closes the SEALOC for the Japs in the Aleutians.
4. Over aggressive allied play will hurt me next turn. Just saw the CBT report.

44-4-17: This turn IJN sank over thirty xAK, one CVE, and about five xAP. the worst loss came on the xAP as I have a shortage. Half my CVE TF in alutons is damaged and out of action. had 9, now down to four active.

Just as a suggestion, how about setting Naval Strike as a primary with the Ground Strike as secondary next time? You can still set a target for the ground strike. Also useful, I don't know if you did this or not, is to have Night Naval Search.

The M3 Grant/Lee tanks which did great for a short period in the North African Campaign during 1942, were shipped to Asia where they did great work for the rest of the war against the Japanese. Not only that, with a larger crew for the tank, they could also perform more things like night guard duty without having the crew too worn out the next day.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Supply to CBI Discussion:
see attached.
Note 250k total tons of shipping between Aden and UK.
Min speed is 3/3 with a 92 hex distance.
or 92/6=15 days transit one way.
So we ship 125k tons into aden every 15 days.

Then we have Aden to CBI with short route to Karachi of 39 hexes.
39/6=6.5 days one way with total shipping of 196k tons. So we ship so we ship 98k tons every 7 days.

I have a shipping imbalance. the trick is the get a ratio of hexes difference between uk-aden and aden-karachi.
So 15/6.5=2.3 to 1
So I need 2.3shipping tons between uk-aden for every 1 ton aden-karachi.
Total tonage is 250k+196k=446k
2.3/1 is the distance ratio that needs shipping to match ratio.

current ratio is 250/196=1.25 to1
so 300/146=2.05
320/126=2.53
315/131=2.40
310/136=2.279 so i need to move 65 tons of shipping from karachi back to UK.

You can always ship more to Aden especially if you are still getting new ships at Aden. If nothing else, keep the UK cleared out and build up a stockpile.

Another option is to only pause at Aden while keeping your ships loaded before sending them to Karachi. That should save time due to the unloading and loading times. Just add and remove any escorts for the run to Karachi. Then just have a small stockpile at Aden if you are still getting units there since your transport ships may still have room for some supplies as well.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

44-4-30: This is a one screen pic. Elements of the 111 Indian para regiment have made a 4 day logdement into Phuket Island. Earlier this month a sub transport made a landing and seized the island. then John reinforced with what appears to me to be some type of support unit with inf attached. John has been bombing the paras for 3 days. the Jap unit seemed unprepped and took 90% disablement. So we now have a gunfight at phuket.
