I feel like I have less 'spare' time in retirement than when I was working. And I haven't played a turn of AE in a year. I did knock of a couple of Close Combat campaigns. But now I have a hankering for some of the old boardgames. Panzer Leader and forgive me, Tactics 2. But my Mom threw them out decades ago. She also threw out all the models I built while I was away at school.

Tactics 2?!?! Sitting right in my dining room. Too bad we don't live near enough to each other, I'd play that little simple game again.[8D]

Pfft. Whatever. My mom threw out all my old baseball cards.[:@]

First wargame I ever played, the 1958 version). Still have it, very beat up. The first player to move always won unless you added rules for border guards. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1574/tactics-ii

More good weather here today inspired another trip over to the house construction site. That means more pictures! [:D]

The roof is finished and all of the framing work, inside and out is finished. I didn't get a shot of the exterior with the roof on today. Instead I toured the interior. First up is a shot of the living room and breakfast area. You can see the fireplace (gas) framed in and the back door that will go out onto the screened porch.

Next is the same room, just angled a bit to the left to show the short wall that the stove will back up to in the kitchen and the frame for the wrap around counter to the right, dividing the kitchen from the breakfast area. You can also see a hint of the stairs up to the second floor (first floor for you Euro types [;)]) at the left edge.

Last shot for today is the bonus room over the garage. This will start off as my office and model train work room. Over a couple of years I hope the model train layout will grow to fill most of this room and chase my desk out to another room.

I do model trains also. I have a room in the garage. I'm currently building a 2 level "N" scale layout. The house is looking great Mike....GP

Thanks, GP. I'm also an N-scaler. Been in the local modular N-scale club for several years and have a decent number of trains and locomotives, but have had no place to even work on building T-TRAK or NTRAK modules, much less than a permanent layout. Planning to start by building a couple of T-Trak modules, then a pair of NTRAK modules to learn and practice before expanding to a larger layout.

I don't do the ttrack or ntrack. And unfortunately there are no N scale clubs near me. But I'm having some fun with the new layout. This is my first one in about 25 years. There is a train show coming up in Columbus that I'm going to attend. I think in June....GP
