shanilec and I started a Combat Series PBEM last night.

A short East Front Scenario. I am actually pretty excited about this, as I haven't played it in over a year. When I was younger, I used to play it for hours with my brothers.

Hope everyone is enjoying their start to the day.

Chilly here, but not as chilly as it was this weekend.

How close do you think this thread might be to qualification for a mention in the Guinness Book of Records?

Considering this is the 3rd or 4th AE Edition of THE THREAD!!!, (we cap it and start a new one after hitting 1000 pages) and there were I believe 3 editions for the Vanilla WitP forum, we could probably make a pretty good showing. [:D]

Hi all,

Wife travels to Ireland tomorrow (5 days) and I almost forgot that they use different wall sockets / plugs there (i.e. as in UK - the rest of Europe mostly uses other standardized wall sockets / plugs)...

We in central Europe mostly use...

CEE 7/4 - German Schuko plug (grounded):

and

CEE 7/5 / CEE 7/7 - German/French (grounded):

and

CEE 7/17 - German/French 16 A/250 V (ungrounded):

and:

CEE 7/16 - Europlug (ungrounded):

I'll be downloading your scenario over the noon hour. The weather outside is perfect for East Front. You chose wisely. 39F. right now; with a cold north wind, low grey fast moving clouds and drizzle. The stage is set for tonights turn.[;)]

So, Leo-

Are you putting in a plug for the CEE 7/4?

Back from work. It was a good un today, finally managed to remove a troublesome rad fairing (a day and a half!) from the MkII Spit and took off the oil cooler and carb intake.

Also got pinged for Remembrance Day parade. Hopefully I'll get the local village rather than Boston, but we shall see what the SWO decides for me. It'll be the first time I've worn my #1 uniform since 2007, I still fit in it as well [8D] Not bad considering that it was made for me in 2004.

The weather just couldn't resist. Snowed just as I leaving home from lunch.
Alas, Indian Summer was just a pipe dream.[8|]

Hmmm, I just googled a song I remember from my youth, The Lincolnshire Poacher. I was not ready for the weirdness that it brought up...

Awww...buck up, buttercup. Any time between now and the end of October is a possibility. Thereafter, I'd agree-you're hosed through April.

I gave wife the adapter for BS 1363 - UK / Ireland (it goes into UK / Ireland wall socket and has holes CEE 7/16 on the other side...
