Well, I missed an opportunity...If I had only done a port strike on the previous turn...Last turn this US CVTF sank about 4 tankers inbound to Babeldoab...hmmmmmmm..and my b29s have been night port striking hex for 4 days.. IJN CVs are still sitting in hex after this posting....hmmm, I wonder if his KB is out of fuel in Babeldoab?

Allies had maybe 15 night attacks w/ no reported hits. My experience is night intel is very weak. Could have had some hits but no reports of hits. Did a recon near Biak and need to save results as a post for future ops.

From 9-7... I knew the KB was in port at Babs from this night bombing attack 3 days previous. I was afraid to engage in daylight because of reinforcing LBA ftrs and loss of surprise.

My opponent has done thousands of night attacks. He has yet to hit a single ship. So I wouldn´t put much faith in any hits being scored.

EDIT: ship not **** [:D]

Earlier in this game I named a Fletcher DD FatR.

Again I named some more ships coming on line. Hopefully Stanislav will avoid sinking his namesake.

Allies have landed a corp at Alor Star and captured the base on the first day. It was undefended.

and then the ground attacks. FatR is trying to blow me out at Parchup So he can rail between Singers and BK. Currently the rail is cut at 3 locations. Soon to be 5 locations. I expect Parchup to fall next turn. Alor Star was unoccupied so revertedto allied control w/ no need of attack next turn. On the approach to Alor the fleet stayed inside of a heavy weather front until one day away from target.

Because FatR got a 1-1 attack at Prachuap he attacked on turn 2. One Brigade of the 1st marine division(w/80exp) is bolstering the
defense but not sure I will hold next turn.

Looks like FatR was unable to sink my CVEs. I Broke the transports up into about 100 small TFs around Alor Star. FatR had a chance to engage my Indian ocean Amphib fleet w/ Tone task group but I slipped away.

to me
FFFFFFFFFFFF.....

I'm rather mad at the treatment given me by the gaming engine this turn. But I guess it was my turn to be unlucky, will have to play with cards I've been dealt.

I had at least 4 airgroups in place from the previous turn (few flew even then)... Just 2 took off on this one. None of bombers on ground attacks flew too.

Well, at least, your carrier air raids ended up in quite a mess as well. But I would have accepted pounding of my surface combatants for a chance of my air armada actually taking off on Day 1. As it stands, I've did much more damage to your fleet than I took, which is good for September 1944, I guess, but almost all of it against nonessential assets.

Regards, Stanislav.

1. First night...The Tone TF has redeployed from shelling Pracheup up near Bangkock. The loss of IJN gun support at Pracheap will become a determining factor in allies holding the malay rail line.
