Yeah, I'm blown away about how this is turning out. If it's in the stock game, it will be in the package (Nelson too).

Excellent work.  Ship art is reaching new heights.  I have to say, I'm looking forward to future iterations that layer on historic paint/camo.
Carry on!

Here's the latest update, we're still working on the Allied CLs, the Brit CVs are in process, almost finished with the Allied side. I would guess, going to the collective this weekend and deciding on a uniform background set; then talking to the customer and seeing about an Allied release. Soon .. I promise, soon.

Future iterations won't come from this project; individuals, perhaps.

Historic paint?? historic as to when?; (a bete noir of mine, pardon me while I die laughing). I don't think there are enuf slots for 'historical accuracy', you'd need an "average" of three separate slots for damn near every warship (which I think it's so funny).

To do your cammo mods, get paint.net (it's a free DL). Open a blank ship and do an alpha blend overlay with multiple colors (whitish, darkish, bluish (funny, you don't look bluish)), using brush size 4-6, and alpha percent between 25-40. It takes about two minutes to do the overlay, once you have chosen your colors (maybe by looking at a 1944 photo). You can prepare 20 to 30 different camo mods in an hour, and then play the 'old switcheroo' game depending on how historically accurate you are. Anyway, try it. It's a lot of fun, and you can get your ships to look how you want them to.

Yes.

The intent is to have a direct replacement folder labeled "Art", with AlliedShip_Back and AlliedShip_Transp subfolders (part 1); same thing for Japan (part 2). If there is room in the zip file (if it can get past my output filters), it will include a number of panels, that look like the samples, and are identified by the range of bit map numbers of the contents; maybe in the top-level folder.

If it don't fit, we'll have to see about posting them separately.

Well, here's the latest up-date. Carriers are finished. All that's left is to slick up the CLs. I'm specially proud of the Incontinent, Insistent, and Unisex.

BigB noticed that the Pensacola and New Orleans required some funnel rake. If anyone else has any relevant comments or suggestions, please feel free to make them now (see update panels within this thread). Once we're done, we're done.

On that note, I have a Q regarding the HMS Vindex. I know she was a conversion of a commercial reefer, but the only pic I can find (before , during, or after) is a stbd bow shot that foreshortens the stem and doesn't show the stern. I 'guestimated' bow & stern, but if anyone has a good read on what they were, or a profile pic of the Vindex (or the Campania, Nairana, or Port Sydney), I would be in your debt forever.

Ciao. JWE

These are all great looking.

I have to admit that I prefer a mix of camo and grey vessels.

All grey is boring.[>:][;)]
