You need to move his CVs away from Oz if you hope to get reinforcements in when the time comes. What happened to your LBA? I never leave home without it.....

Bollocks !  You are bogged down in China and you know it !

Seems like a better figure than one would normally expect to see.  If your jap troops were really on the ball i should have lost twice that number of troops.

At least I got gun to lose[8D]
After all, you got numerical and AV advantage. Why don't you just keep attacking until you take Kaifeng. Oh yes, if you couldn't do it in 9 months why should you be able to do so now...

Three turns have been played today, and although I'm a bit cross with Raver's lack of updating in this AAR I can hardly blame him. In AARs we mostly want to share our successes and Ravers complete lack of the same has left me with an unfortunate mission to inform you that...
Melbourne has fallen!!!

In other news...nah, screw them, there is no other new. Since northern Queensland is being abandoned, Brisbane will be the last place in Australia out of Japanese rule. May it not stay like that for long!

Melbourne falls. [:(] It was a brave fight and the defenders lasted longer than I had hoped. The burden now falls to Brisbane as the last major defensive post in Australia.

Bah, 'twas a suicide and you know it! If you think you can deprive my troops of a fair victory, think again! Their general is not Japanese and couldn't care less.[:D]
The reason the value was so low is because Raver attacked the sieging troops. The only rationale behind that move that I can think of is so he could start the rebuilding process as soon as possible. And, it also means he is comfortable enough to have me relaease significant troops for the upcoming battle for Brisbane. I give myself 4 months and addional one month to comemorate my wife's birthday today. I guess that makes her first imperial concubine. Should I tell her that?[8D]

I think Sydney if the main Aussie base with Melbourne as backup. Brisbane isn't mentioned anywhere. And I don't see any reason for those units to reappear - I was refering to rebuilding them from evacuated fragments, Raver had a lot of submarine traffic going in and out of Melbourne during the fist 2 months of the siege. My educated guess will be that he has those fragment safely tucked away in a fat rear base just waiting to refit and return to action somewhere in '44...I just hope he's started evacuation of Brisbane cadre...

I have the reinforcemnts showing the city as "Unknown".   A tight little battle is happening in and around Brisbane as Hero Honda tries to clear the minefields.............???????  Is he planning to invade?  I think not, more likely he wants to clear a path for his BBs to shell the place.

China still holds...........just.  I am rather worried what the USSR will think if China does fall.

Is USSR activated ?

How big is Rockhampton ? With A big enough port nearby, Honda could play a "Karachi" on you with round the clock shelling by BBs and CAs ans without magical supply creation there, things could actually go quite quickly...

Soviets are active from day one as one of the house rules (which I posted in their entirety on top of page 2 I belive). I still obide to the standard Kwantung Army limitations. The point was, if I should choose to invade, to allow the Soviets to form their defensive line according to player's choice. Raver, being desperate as his now, is looking for every opportunity to provoke conflict in the north. From time to time he sands recon flights and an odd bomber strike on border garrisons hoping to escalate the war. So far, I had no choice but to tolerate such behaviour.

I have no concerns about what Russia will do.....infact what Russia does is totally out of my hands........Stalin rules Russia not me.  Therefore I dare say that he is very worried by the fact that the Germans are pressing him hard, and he looks over to the east to see that Japan is running wild on his boarder as well.  If I were on the general staff of the Red Army I would be cautioning against starting anything with Japan as fighting on two fronts is a fools gamble. But then again I would also think strongly about keeping my mouth shut as there are a LOOK of Russian Generals with holes in the back of their heads. If Stalin wants to do something about Japan, I will simply say "Yes Sir, Yes Sir three bags full sir".
