Maybe we should start one? I haven't seen anything in the forum rules that prohibit that sort of thing...

I have deleted several rude posts from this thread.  I do not have the authorization to do this but I hate rudeness so I did it anyway.

I have no problem with your actions. Too bad there is no auto-delete for rude posts.

But an official one might appear later. Officially. But at the moment, that's still unofficial.

I know what it is. It's War in the Pacific "Land war"

And I'm an official nobody.

Perhaps an updated weather model would fit the bill (ie: WIND).

Actually you DO have authorization to do so - by the fact that you are a MOD with authorization to do so!

There is no game called "Winds of War". What David Heath meant was that something new was coming for WitP, i.e. a different wind is going to be blowing.

If it were a game, Winds of War would mean we would be in serious trouble, because wasn't that the awful mini-series that Robert Mitchum "starred" in?

Anything that JMV was in, is the kiss of death. Take Ice Cream Man for example......

Clint Howard would had won an Oscar if it hadn't been for JMV screwing it up.

You don't want to hear of it. It was a mini-series, like the Thornbirds if you recall that. I think it ran about 1983 or so and it was basically a movie that was very long, but cut into seperate parts. I can't remember if it was on for consequetive nights or if it was the same day every week for quite a while.

The plot for what little of one that there was, was centered around WWII. I think Mitchum was flying a B17 at one point for example.

[:)]Actually it was a RAF Wellington. He was supposed to be the US naval attache and he goes out for a joy ride. The seires is based on the Herman Wouk book.[:)]

C'mon, this is Hollywood we are talking about. They have no problem with P-40 jocks flying B-25s off of carriers, so why would they balk at putting a naval officer in the pilot's seat of a B-17? He was probably a gunnery specialist as well...
fair winds,
Brad
