...In the end, isn't the biggest 'cause' fo death when it comes to old age basically that the bodies own immune defense becomes very weared down which makes you far more weakened and thus far more sensitive to even things such as flu?

Maybe for some. As for me, a lifetime of poor habits and immodest living will likely be the end of me!

Regards,
Feltan

Actually, I'm pretty sure the leading cause of death is breathing. Do you know of anyone who has died without indulging in a lifetime of breathing first?

But is it clear that "life causes death" in the sense that death is highly correlated with life? Re-stated, have more people lived and not died? Or have more people lived and died? The answer depends on whether there are more people alive now than have ever died.

Which begs the question: can you be considered to have died if you never lived in the first place?

Which begs the question, what is life?

[>:] I thought the philosopy 101 forum was somewhere else? What next? Does the AI have soul? How many AI's can dance on a pin? What is the sound of the AI flapping?  (Notice how I cleverly tried to guide this clearly runaway thread back to the topic? , Thank you. I'll be here all week in the Anti-thread room. Try the veal.) I am AI!

Anyway back on topic, AI is afterall the biggest challenge facing game devs, it's harder to code than anything else afaik.

I am AI!
[X(] In that case , I'm going to break a personal rule , and form a personal attack. You stink AI! (Please note , that this attack was directed at the WITP AI , not at AI's in general and certainly not at Gargantou who foolishly lowered himself to portraying this soulless , brainless non-entity. ) [:D]

So anyway, back on topic, would you recommend me to buy WITP even if I don't love to micromanage stuff and will probably only play against the AI?

Can you do like in the old Grigsby games where you could put HQs under Computer control and give them a general objective, i.e. "Take Wake Island" for example.

So does that mean that I will have to micromanage every tiny detail?:P

I mean, as I said earlier, I'm an AI, we dont handle micromanagement very well! In the end it would end with me moving every single ship as close together as possible and then trying to attack Pearl Harbour with my fleet of doom!

I wonder how that'd go in PBEM actually, I doubt if I played another human being he'd expect me to be that crazy, maybe he wouldn't be prepared at all?:P

Got into PBEM once I bought UV. Can't really go back to AI now. Just gets too boring.

AI looks OK for the first few months of the war, but it is hard to imagine it working OK any longer.

I will say that I am surprized at the number of AI only players. I just assumed that most played pbem. Just goes to show that the game would have never sold if there was not an AI aspect to it.

[:)]I will defer to others...Unless it directly uses a cheat or flaw in the game itself , I don't belive in gamey (well ,except for the smell), but others definately have strong feelings about it. [:D]
