my wife recently made a gift of a second computer, an Intel core i7 cpu with eight 2.68GHz processors and six megs of ram.
Will you still be able to play anything with 6MB these days?

I am under the impression - from the computer whiz guy - that six megs of ram will hold me for a while. We shall see. What I would like to do is run AE on w7 under the "XP emulation mode" - thus far no go, a "can't find video drivers" error pops up.

Also - Fallout New Vegas requires an internet connection as a "steam" client. I do understand the anti piracy intent - and support it; but there seems to be a conflict with the i7 / w7 connecting to the internet thru a wireless plug in. No problem, the computer guy (a very capable and good man) will be here today to set things right.

In any event, my focus at the moment is setting up for a new modified DBB scn.

And, of course, as I have the week off, the mountain view - with trees changing color on a sunny day, is just magnificent. Some of you, living on the southern half of the continent, will most likely have to google "fall trees turn color" to understand...

You definitely don't have six megs of RAM in this PC, but six gigs (gigabyte).

Muffin!  [:D]

That really hurts, man. Wow.[:'(]

Hmn...I'm perplexed. I thought a muffin already has an inbuilt shock absorber which would cushion any physical blows.[:)]

As to any mental pain...well wouldn't the long association with Rocky have already inured you?[;)]

I stand corrected. A huge, instantanious upgrade at no cost...!
Also - both computers now talk to the internet, and AE runs under w7 / xp emulation mode. Wide screen - outstanding! Really beautious!
