For anyone interested, here's a look at Burma. My calculation is that Burma can't be held, so I withdraw my meagre forces to positions where they are on interior lines of communication. This is so I can respond to an invasion of India wherever it might occur. If I were to commit reinforcements to Burma and then a major invasion at Madras, Calcutta, Goa or wherever were to begin, I would have a lot less materiel to respond with. Many I'm sure will disagree with my analysis, perhaps even vehemently. The cost to the Chinese front is clear. Someday I may try it their way, but this is where my instincts lead me.

1/29/42 The KB is midway between Cookstown and Port Moresby. Not sure what they're up to, they haven't attacked anything yet.

1/30/42 Kaga escapes. Gar, Sturgeon and Snapper all made attacks on this TF as well. They fired at escorting DDs and all missed.
CV Kaga and BB Kirishima were the only capital ships observed.
