I'm also looking hard at Ellis Island as a goal for the short term. Gaining Ellis Island would help push my perimeter further to the east
and increase the range of my patrol aircraft. I've got to move fast though because Marcin is going to ship some more troops this
direction sometime soon. I can feel it in my bones.

Here's the results of an airstrike on that stack of Allied ships. The BB survived so another airstrike is indicated.

Here's the result of some 3 BB's near Wake Island bombard a group of Allied DD's. Got only half of them so I guess another
bombardment is in order or maybe I can clobber them with my DD's and CA's now.

Here's the results of an assault near Bangkok. It went nowhere. I'm going to need more people in this AO. Some to go to Malaya
and some to go to Burma.

I moved some units in the Bangkok area and it looks like this now. I've surrounded some Indian units in the mountains. I'm going to
need some more people than I have to root them out of there. My dudes are already down to 50% and need refit. Some more
people are needed.

Here's Manila now. I'm in a big hurry so I'm going to go for combat round two to see if I can gain Manila the city. If so it would be a
good thing because that's where the Allied supply is. Getting Manila would make the eventual take down easier.

And, you might run a scouting ship along the coast of OZ, to see what kind of garrisons are there. It is just possible that
the allies have left a port with only a weak garrison, that you can grab up in one turn.
Also, see how strongly/weakly the western Australian port are held--Darwin and points south. You may not be able to do much until
you have major air cover from the Dutch East Indies; but stabs at Australia will force the allies to react. They won't (hopefully) be busy elsewhere, if they have to concentrate around New Zealand and Australia.

The CA appearing near Pearl Harbor is a replaced CA after it was hit. The computer decides where to place a replaced ship. The appearance point is in Japan on land so the ship does not get replaced there. Usually replaced ships appear on the far right or left of the map. I think the allies get replaced at the lower left of the map at sea. The Japanese on the far right. Since the Japanese move first you can get the replaced ships to safety before any problem. You will need to check on expected reinforcements to see when ships come in and on recent reinforcements.

Same for the allies.

The strike against the British fleet without air cover shows what the Betty and the Nell can do. At wake when ships are surrounded you can also hit them with air power to save on ship losses. I look forward to surface action by Japanese destroyers and cruisers with their torpedo firepower. It is good you fired from a distance with the BB. That is the way to use them.

If you want to move a stack of ships or troops at sea click on the stack as if they were ground units and click on group move. If you want to go even faster, after clicking on the group move, click on the space bar which removes all units on the map. Then click on your destination and the computer moves much faster than if the units moving are visible. Then click the space bar again and the units reappear.

Ground units on a rail line can do this fast method as well. Aircraft moving must go one at a time but can move fast with hitting the space bar.

Happy new year everybody. I've received some moves from Marcin and I watched the playback and everything and now I'm
looking at the new turn and I'm seeing that the game engine is registering that I took down Manila last turn.

Here's an overview of the situation before I've moved anybody. I haven't run any recon ships up and down the coast of OZ yet
so I don't know where the Allied ships are. Speaking of picket ships, I guess I had my picket ships too close to OZ and Marcin
picket off a couple of them. D'oh. I'll have to be more careful in the future.

Here's a closeup of the Bangkok area now. I'm going to ship in some more divisions to help break out of the pass area and some
divisions to head for Burma to give the Indians something to do. I've gotten a land combat unit into the hex with the paratroopers
so I'm pretty sure I've saved them. I'm going to get them to Bangkok and let them rest and refit and use them somewhere in New
Guinea grabbing airfields or something. Maybe Oz.

Here's the Manila area now. Now that Manila has fallen and the Allied supply point has been captured the Phillippine Army should
fold pretty quickly. I'm in the mop-up stages and no more troops are needed there I'm guessing.

I had to move a garrison unit off Bikini to Kwajalene because it was desperately low on supply. I have reason to believe that
Bikini doesn't have any supply on it.

I must have some patrol planes within bombardment range because Allied stuff in New Zealand is showing up plainly. Here's NZ now.
It's been turned into a fortress by Marcin. He probably knew I was coming. I'm not sure this place can be taken now. At least not
easily.

Here's what's at Midway. I'm thinking that this island could be taken down but not easily. It would probably take a full division to do
it though.

And another thing. Those Chinese units that get killed seem to be re-spawning at Pearl and I'm wondering if that can't be moved to
somewhere closer to China. Someplace in India or something?
