RE: A modest proposal
Welcome back Bombur yes been Union for a few days I reckon Chuck has his feet up on a beach somewhere with a drink in his hand
Are we like late Rome, infatuated with past glories, ruled by a complacent, greedy elite, and hopelessly powerless to respond to changing conditions?
RE: A modest proposal
Guys, I am so sorry. I simply forgot to put it in the Dropbox folder. This is a quick turn for me, and I always try and get right to it.

Gentlemen, this war making must stop. The union has placed League of Nation's peacekeeping troops between the lines in the Northwest. Nippon and the Eastern Empire are under mandate to honor these lines. Nippon should stay away from this area, as should the Russians.
Peace keepers are also in the far Northeast.
Now is the time for peace.

RE: A modest proposal
As the Union's peace keeping forces send Eastern Empire oil from the field they have stolen through their worthless alliance, they should know that they, like the Japanese, will soon be crushed under the treads of tanks. Eastern Empire' armored columns have already crushed one Japanese city, it will only before they roll on a second and the union ports.

The Soviets showed no respect for League peacekeepers. We did not expect them to do so.
The Soviets allies show more respect and have not joined the Reds in their folly.

Your excuse for joining the war is noted. Push back and face the consequences of those actions.

RE: A modest proposal
The Union has shown themselves to be masters of diplomacy, having strung along the Eastern Empire and acquired there oil fields through the art of manipulation. They "accidentally" declared war and broke our alliance, sat on our re-offer in goodwill for a year, only to reaffirm it right as hostilities started. Then they occupied our land and oil and blocked our path with "peacekeeprs". Eastern Empire has had enough talk full of empty words and promises. The time for war has begun. We have rooted out those ambassadors of ours that that have colluded with the Union and are now being sent to the Gulag. The Union has 24 hours to remove all of their citizens and officials or they will be joining them. The Japanese have quickly learned the error in siding with the treacherous French. The Union will soon learn that lesson as well.

Hey, I put Das back because it was empty for hours and couldn't remember if I had put the round in or not... I figured if someone was doing the round they swap it out... and if I had been hair brained I'd have corrected my error. Sorry, brother.
And just to confirm: There wasn't a union file there...

RE: A modest proposal
Sometimes the person doing the turn removes the file. Perhaps Union does that? I can put Union back in if needed.

RE: A modest proposal
Hey, just humble proposition: Can we all agree that the sides have been drawn and that there will be no backstabbing till one side defeats the other? I get the whole "Barbarossa" and "Pearl Harbor" move as a legitimate strat, but can we agree to battle as allies till one side defeats the other? I'm but the rook, likely set for destruction, but can we make this one about battle and not politics at this present juncture, until the next phase of the game?
RE: A modest proposal
I humbly agree, this is three against three. No stabbing allies, front, back or otherwise.

I can get my hands on a copy of the Koran, best to cover all bases.

With a battle cry of "More Balalaika, less Banjo!" the Russians are moving on Nashville. Sacrilege.
The Union would like to invite Das Reich and The Empire to join a crusade against these Russians! There are rumors that the government of the Empire is eaten up with Russian moles. Britons! Rise up and cast off the malignant Russian influence. They do not have your interests at heart.

Mormons use the bible also.
I know, it was just to cover all the bases. Also the mormon book "the Pearl of Great Price" is the real book, if you want to know what book they find the most holy, I believe.
