Hi all.
Sorry to ask, but I am new to TOAW, and even more to the Scenario design features. So, are the slides with explanations actually images externally superimposed to the game screenshots, or is there a way to have them directly showing in the game during play?
Thanks.

The slides are images to follow along with--there is not a way to have them show directly in game during play (so you have to reference it outside the game itself).

Thanks dduckett.
I asked because I was worried to missing some features, while opening the scenario and not seeing the slides.

Hi, I am not sure if posting to this old topic is frowned upon (please point me to the rules in case I missed them), but I just found this nice tutorial and wanted to say thank you for putting it together! For my own reference I merged the slides into a single PDF document that I can easily print and reference during my play in the next days. If you are interested I can try to link the document here. Thanks again for the nice content!

Please do, that would be appreciated, it's been a while since I've fired up TOAW but thought doing that next. I've not tried uploading any pdf files in this new forum, should be easy to find out if supported or not.

Hello, thank you for making this tutorial. I have a question regarding slide #3. I am following along in my own game and only three units of time expended show in the combat planner, despite moving 4 hexes like in the slide. In slide #3, 4 units of time are expended and the slide suggests that each hex moved corresponds to a unit of time expended in a turn. Am I doing something wrong?

Looking at the tutorial slide, it appears that the German unit had to cross some mud in its path. You're map doesn't show any mud. (Mud is variable, depending upon weather).

Thanks for pointing that out, I wouldn't have noticed it with my lack of game experience. Is there a way to know how much time will be expended after movement without using the combat planner?

There is a "TimeStamp" display mode shown here:

Wow, that's immensely helpful. Stack AP and Stack DF values is also a game-changer. Thank you!

Tried playing the Yugoslavs in this scenario, and for whatever reason, many of my units would refuse to dig in, yet I would still lost their action points rom that turn. Why is this?
