Allies are producing ~1700MPPs every turn.
Bombing runs on German mines continue.

KZ seems to try to cut supply lines before killing any units. I can live with that. At least it takes longer to advance that way.

Sibirians have arrived and the USSR also built some of the AT guns. Quiet useless but at least they do a bit of damage and can block units.

Mannerheim is still retreating in the North.

Speaking of the North: you have two more fighter units there? Why don't you send them to Iraq too?
Looks pretty strange down there.

In iraq another figther bites the dust. O'Connor HQ is blown to smithereens. Tank unit avoids destruction at str 1.

Axis producing 1400mpp to allies 1700mpp. Ain't too big of a gap considering the losses being incurred by the UK.

UK in the Iraqi vise. Another Figther done. Keeping the rate of one a turn.

Germans start bombarding tanks in Finland in support of their threatened ally.
Franco's Spaniard attack the treacherous Greeks, promise to turn over the country to Mussolini in payment for his help during the civil war.

UK running out of fighters in Iraq so the Axis turn to bombers to destroy.
Rocket start shooting Russian forces in finland in what seem a token effort to support its ally.
With Finland wilting, will the germans prop them up or let them collapse?

Industrial capacity up to 1750 MPPs/turn!

British forces retreating in Iraq. Finnish army still on the retreat and losing units almost every turn. Red Army within close range to Helsinki. Germany will have to rush in to help or they will lose their ally pretty soon.

Soviet army finds a tank at low supply on the way to Moscow. It was a bloody fight with heavy losses on our side but that steel beast is gone and won't be replaced fast and cheap. Another German corps destroyed and two cavalry units destroyed so far. It is something like a little counter offensive.

In the West the bombing runs continue. Defending Italian fighter squadron almost destroyed. The damage dealt to German production is increasing and will soon be higher than the casualties I have to take.

It is getting really intensive and interesting here.

At 1750mpp Allies to 1500mpp Axis, the economic advantage lies with me as I can get more out of my mpp that my esteemed opponent. It will be further compounded once the Persia lifeline is cut. Siberians troops are committed to the counter offensive against the German screens, then mostly destroyed for their trouble, taking out some of the most experienced Soviet troop. As for the lost tank, the afrika corp discount will be cashed in. [;)]

Good turn for the allies, destroying two tanks. [X(] Some offensives will have to halt for newly built Heavy Tanks to replace the losses and reorganise. Rockets bomb Leningrad for 5 damage, one more turn and the rail line into Finland will be cut.

I initially wrote off his counter-attack attempts as a desperate measure to stop my three prong offensive but at tech parity, Russian can hold their own. A bit early for them to catch up to me in planes and tank tech. In my game vs Sugar I was 1,5 tech behind despite spending more and more early than Mika in this game. [:'(]

August 1942

To be honest I was a bit lucky with the one or other breakthrough. Reaching infantry weapons 3 in summer 42 is really nice. The other lucky thing was to have some units where your tanks appeared. And they appeared at low supply. I was surprised how much damage I can do with the red army. These tanks are missing for the summer offensive and that you admit that you have to halt is more than a big success.

The next successful thing is that the MPP production went up to almost 2000 this turn. Many many units will pop up in the next months and I hope there will be even more after the long winter.

Three German mines are heavily damaged right now (IIRC 2, 2 and 4) what means around 40 - 50 MPPs missing every turn. That value will increase sooner or later.

Most of my attacking units made it back to safer positions and fortifications. KZ might try to cut off my troops in Finnland. That might work but I have to stay there. Even if he can encircle and destroy them it will take a lot of time and it will keep his units busy. Units he will need somewhere else.

Btw, can someone explain how to add more than one screenshot in a posting? That keeps me away from posting at all.

Bit of a blunder/bad timing that, HQ was one HEX too far and supply went from 8 to 5. Ugh.

Aug 16, 42

Tech/Diplo spendings

UK: 1700/400
USA: 4650/400
USSR 4275/150

Germany:5800/600
Italy: 3525/300

USSR investment was very delayed (750mpp in Dec 41) but caught some key breakthrough to save its bacon.

German defenders destroyed. Red Army drives through the roads of Helsinki.
Terms of surrender signed, Mannerheim pays war debts for Finnland.

In Iraq UK and US forces had to retreat again to prevent further losses. The front in Russia is not stable but moving back very slow at the moment. Only one or two months of better conditions before the German army will be slowed down by rain, mud and even snow.

Allied bombing raids continue causing heavy damage on German economy.

Producing more than 2050MPPs/turn

I had an German heavy tank in Hanko but on Finland surrender for some reason lost control of the port, now its stuck there.

I guess that's my punishment for not sending them straight to the capital, which they would have been able to hold on no doubt. [:D]

To be honest... I have no idea why you didn't transport some German units and an HQ much earlier.
One or two Armies, one mechanized unit and two tanks and it would have been a deadly trap.

But I like it better that way [:D]

Thanx for showing me how to post some pictures... here we go

Another tank lost... the winter is coming closer
You can be sure that the Russian unit count will explode in the next months.

Russian units are cheap and even cheaper to replace.

You will conquer Moscow for sure but it is a long road to Stalingrad and it will take the entire year to get there. And I am not even sure if you can make it if the way is full with Red Army soldiers and tanks and AA guns.

But hey, at least it is no one sided show. Pretty thrilling!

What about Iraq, are the Brits evacuating or the US tuning in?
