I had hoped to be able to take Singapore by now but the supply levels are so low that my units are still yellow and therefore can't shoot. The rails are getting closer to the city so maybe in a future turn sometime soon. Maybe if I land a fresh division close by and use IT to take the city.

I'm having a hard time clearing the island of Mindanao because of all the partisans. As soon as I kill one there's another one to take it's place. I've got to grab ALL the ports for one thing to kill the supply sources of the partisans and then form a line and march across the island.

Jorge has gotten some partisans into my Burma backfield and I'm going to have to rail in some more troops to contain them. I've got several reserve divisions, I just have to rail one of them here.

I discovered that the Corps HQ units can also repair rail and the engineers have been busy and now the only stretch of rail that isn't repaired is this section in the middle of China. I only recently captured this area and it's only been worked on for several turns now but I expect it to all be repaired by early '43.

This is the China theater in a snapshot. I'm the red dots and I'm pushing north to the Ledo road to cut the flow of supply from India. And then when China gets cut off it'll be a lot easier to clean out all the Allied units. There's a section of the front lines that is relatively stable and that the section just north of Hanoi. I'm not strong enough to push him back and he's not strong enough to push me back so I guess I need to apply a lot of air power, do some direct attacks on the units in that line to soften them up a lot and then try.

In the south Pacific near Rabaul there's fighting going on where Jorge is taking over a lot of the smaller islands and I'm straffing him with my planes. There's a lot of sea interdiction going on. Several of his floaters have been destroyed as they move on the water. I think I sank a DD.

Here's the fighting going on in Burma. The Indians are steadily weakening my troops, several of them are red and it's looking like the Indians are going to break through and roll up my lines. I need those troops from Malaya to move up here and lend a hand.

There's a terrific fight going on on the island of Mindanao and I think I may have isolated all the partisans in the southwest section of the island and the only thing that's preventing me from wiping them out is the lack of supply. This fight has been going on for a long time and it's probably going to be another 10 turns at least before I get a handle on this situation.

Larry something very weird happened. I was playing my turn and all of a sudden I switched over to your side and I could see your troops and even move them! I hit the end turn button and it reverted me to the last turn, as if I was
playing your side.
Let me know what happens.
Jorge

Hey Jorge:
If we were playing the old fashioned way instead of PBEM++
we could just go to the previous turn and try it again but
now there's no way to do that. We could try one of the SAL
files I've been saving and continue with the old fashioned
way, trading files. Is that agreeable? Lemme know.

Jorge and I dropped back a turn and continued the old fashioned way. We've been playing a while now. Jorge was making his way west along the north coast of New Guinea and now he's getting into serious resistance.

The long island is New Guinea and Jorge has captured all the ports and airfields and is carefully marching his way west and the next stop looks to be occupied so he's going to have to bring in his ships and I've got lots of planes defending so he will have to bring his carriers and we're probably going to get into some kind of drama soon.

Indian troops were introduced to the Chinese front lines and they hit harder than the Chinese do and they have broken a hole in my front lines north of Hanoi and I have no reserve handy. I'm going to have to rail in some people to contain the troops that are going to pour through there next turn. It's a footrace to see who can get there first with the most troops. I'm not sure where the troops will come from but I'm pretty sure I can scrape up a division or two from somewhere.

Here's the front lines near Bangkok and my units have rested sufficiently that I have enough supply to do some attacks, some light probes. I don't really expect to win any new hexes, and I don't expect any units to get hurt badly my side or Jorge's side either one. I'm just seeing light units on the Allied side and wanted to see what kind of damage I can do.

It's been about three weeks since I've heard from Jorge so I'm declaring
this game abandoned. Sorry fellows, I wanted to go on too.
