He should put them in a TF and run at full speed away. He also should have had them at Karachi or off map.
I believe that his decision to hunker down in port was heavily based on my initial attack around a week and a half ago where I scored a grand total of 3 250kg bomb hits on his ships... he likely under estimated/didnt know about the 800KG bombs which now that my torpedo armament was expended was my only serious way to hurt renown.
Well, he became educated then. [:D]

In china we fail to take Kweiyang as he got 2 Divisions into the tile just this turn [8|]. I would have likely taken the base if I hadn't second guessed myself and waited 2 turns to head north fearing a Chinese counter attack from the south. In other news the Nick came online today, I'm going to start off building 60 per month. Might end up increasing production based on the need.
A6m5 was recently accelerated to 7/42 and I expect to accelerate it again in around 2 weeks. Hence I should have the A6M5 6/42..... All R&D factories will upgrade to the A6M5b and then to A6M8. The engine bonus is really helping with the acceleration, so I should have the A6M8 in time for the hellcat.

I'm gonna post another picture of the situation in China and India on the 4th of May.
In india I failed to take Racchi again with my tank force at the northern end of the triangle. Dean is reinforcing the tile with what appears to be a brigade so the tanks will wait for the troops from the main thrust towards Asansol to take the base.
Cleaning up operations are still ongoing in Ceylon, but two divisions have disembarked at Cochin and will take up defensive positions. I've identified 4 Divisions in the south so I don't have any illusions of being able to push with my 3 Divisions. The south will hopefully serve to force dean to spread out his forces and prevent him for concentrating on my attack to the north east. The 2nd Division cleaning up troops on Ceylon will be sent to northern India to help break dean there.

The War in the Skies and Air R&D/Production Status Report.
Dean has pulled back what was left of his fighters in northern India So there haven't been any large air battles since the 6th of May. Dean has lost 300 Hurricanes since the start of the game along with 120 Buffalo's, so I doubt the British have many fighters left given his replacement rate of 21 Hurricanes per month.... His replacement rate throughout the game will be about 20% higher than Vanilla to make up for my sped up deployment of quality planes. Overall losses for the last few months have been pretty even with most of my losses being Operational casualties.
In terms of air production, Ive increased the sally factory up to 35 from its previous 25 to help replace losses and fill out new units. I'm gonna hold off expanding sally production anymore and wait for the Helen IIa. Oscar production was increased to 135 from the previous value of 115. I'm Probably gonna keep using the Oscar into 43 as an escort for the Sally/Helen due to its superior range over the Tojo. For all other roles however the Tojo will replace the Oscar once it comes online some time in 9/42.
The A6M5 is a few days away from accelerating to 6/42 (88%) and then all six Factories will move on to the A6M5b, and then to A6M8. The A6M2 factory will upgrade to A6M5 (in RA the A6M2 upgrades directly to the A6M5). None of the Tojo factories have fully repaired yet with the highest being 22/30. Maybe in another month or two I'll start getting some acceleration progress. Once the Tojo comes online I'll leave either 60 or 90 as R&D and put the remaining 60/90 into production.

Not a ton happened today as dean has pulled back a lot of his plane after taking serious losses over the past week or so. 4 Divisions in northern India are moving to the next base in the triangle west of Calcutta. Dean has around 33k troops in the hex with another Division 2 hex's away. The tile is in good terrain so I might end up waiting for 3 Divisions that are around 1-2 weeks behind to catch up before attacking. The Tanks attacking the base north of Asansol are waiting for the 18th division to arrive in 2 days before attempting another attack against the 8k defenders. Once I take the base I'll head north and then around his defensive line to the south to cut avenues of retreat. The 14th Division will land at Chittagong in a few day increasing my Division count in northern India to 9.

In the SW pacific Dean's carriers appear to be attempting to attack by Cruiser TF at Port Moresby, which was escorting a convoy carrying 2 SNLF units which just unloaded this turn. The Cruiser TF and cargo ships will flee towards Darwin, but I'm leaving 2 small cargo ships in harbour to hopefully illicit a strike by his carriers. I've shifted 24 kates, a group of 36 G3M, 27 zeros, and 36 Oscars to Port Moresby. The planes at Port Moresby will hopefully be supported by an air strike from Woodlark Island where I have an additional 60 zeros and 60 G4M bombers. Maybe ill get lucky this time and get more than 1 torpedo hit vs a allied carrier.

We are all worms, but I believe that I am a glow worm.

Today a serious air battle occurred right off Port Moresby near the Torres straight.
The Japanese air units embodied the naval Spirit of attack and succeeded in landing a blow first with 67 zeros and 21 G4Ms attacking the Allied carrier force. I'm not sure what the fuck the other air wing from Woodlark was doing since they missed the memo, and didnt launch at all today. I guess I'll be firing their air leader and replacing him with a more aggressive leader. The air wing that did launch achieved impressive results scoring 2 hits on enemy carriers.

The strike package from Port Moresby unfortunately was less successful achieving no hits and taking heavy losses. The Kates refused to fly despite being well within range, albeit they probably would have been slaughtered if they did launch.

During the afternoon the true heros of the day fly another sortie of 9 G4M bombers from the same unit that scored 3 hits earlier. The bombers pierce the cap and score another hits on the Hornet leaving it burning and heavily damaged. I doubt she is an abject loss, but if hornet is unable to get out of range for a second strike tomorrow I suspect she will be a goner. excessive OP losses in the air losses report hint that the fire on hornet is serious, as it appears that a mass ditching of planes from hornet occurred due to the flight deck being rendered unusable. I cant remember off hand what size fire is sufficient to prevent air operations but I believe its around 15-20. Plz correct me if I am wrong.
