The game must be truly broken without horses (and now I learn) camels and reindeer modelled. Why can't we have them converted to supplies when isolated? How many meals can you get from a camel? I'm sure Hanny knows! [:D]

We have to question what we been doing as a dev team for the last few years? [;)]

Anyone know what the camel's water storage capacity is in their humps?!

Certain weapon systems not being modeled in the game points toward Dereliction of Duty.

Horses were a vital element on the Eastern front for both sides.

Soviets culled 4/5 million horses from its pre war stocks of over 25 million, for meat during the war, a camel weighs far more than a horse, and you can get 55-60% of its bodyweight as food, 15% as fats, so quite a few meals as it turns out. Germany slaughtered 300 horses a day to provided the troops at Stalingrad with a meat ration, some Div QM killed them early on, and could not break out with equipment, once Paulus ordered the animals culled, and the ration centralised and equally disbursed, some Divs came out with having fed their men better.

Here it is

https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/Germany/HB/HB-6.html
Its the handbook of German forces by the USA war department.

Thats the US best guess in 45.

Heres its best guess in the 90s.
https://www.cia.gov/static/4b7e1fc3e535 ... -Point.pdf
You will note that tonnage of fodder requirement, delivered by train from Germany to the front, is greater than tonnage of food requirement.
