Soviet Union - Spring 1945

The Red Army smashes its way to the Rhine & final victory over Germany. The few remnants of the German Army were crushed with little or no damage caused to our attacking forces.

A major redeployment is underway to the East now that the Germans are completely defeated.

"Molti nemici, molto onore" - battle moto of the Italian cruiser Zara, written below the ship's bridge. Many enemies, (bring) lots of honour. I bet captain of that ship changed his mind about that later on, when overwhelmed by Brits [:-]

With Germany eliminated, this game is all but over. Victory score is currently 104:15 for the Allies.

This turn we destroyed 2-3 Japanese transport fleets, 3 militia (using long range bombers in the Pacific), bombed and destroyed some units in Malaya... We brought 3 fresh CVs into Bay of Bengal etc.

Only the non existent road network and long supply routes prevent Burma, Malaya and Indochina from falling in our hands.

Summer 45 - Japan

with the loss of my Axis partner it's getting pretty tighht in the Pacific and Asia. i spent the turn redeploying forces and putting out a few naval pickets.

Summer 1945 - Soviet Union

Operation Red Orient was a complete success. Our forces easily crushed the Japan garrisons in Korea & Manchuria. More troops are being redeployed from Europe to complete the destruction of Japanese forces on the mainland.

And the Akula is Over!!

Once I played my turn (took Siam, destroyed several Japanese transport, light and sub fleets - lost some as well) I got the message that the game is over, and that "Alliance 2 won with victory level 2" - in other words decisive victory for Allies.

There's no "glorious" victory screen art yet in the game, so I have nothing interesting to post...

Bear in mind that victory conditions changed since the aplha version we started the Akula with. Also I believe the game now should end a turn or two later (not sure about this though)
