I'am working of an improved naval action screen for the 3D ships as soon as tested I will post to spookie

will have a differant ocean treatment so you can have a clearer view of the ships

some rare (Only did a few) scout float planes - a couple of players liked them as something differant

Agreed. I'm kinda finding the 3D sort of stomach turning if I look at it too long. The lack of uniformity with some detracts from the overall feeling. The 2D is definitely my preference. 2D seems to suit the type of game format better as well, since it's primarily a recognition sillouette, and the WWII sillouettes were 2D.

3D is good for some games, but only if from the same perspective. If you have some ships from an aerial prespective, some from a sea perspective, and some from in between, I start thinking of mighty battleships as toys. Plus, its hard to make out details on small 3D models. With 2D graphics, you can easily make out details, and what year the ship is in. Its all personal preference I guess.
