Two trainer/light attack aircraft...if you can't afford a dozen F-16s, a dozen of these will at least give you some air power...I can see these showing up in various 2025-era scenarios after China sells a bunch of them to places like Nigeria and Ecuador...

Minor DB issue in DB3000: JP.233 (Weapon_223) is listed as being an anti-runway weapon. While it was designed primarily for anti-runway use, it did so by using a shaped charge to blow a small a hole in the runway and inserting an explosive charge to form a difficult-to-repair void under the tarmac. Accordingly, it could be used against any target that is similar to a runway, such as rail marshalling yards or permanent supply depots.
http://www.wk2ammo.com/showthread.php?6 ... enial-mine
Going that way, shouldn't all runway cratering weapons have their Valid targets list accordingly extended to include "Land Structures (Hard)"?
#225 - MW-1 Anti-Runway Dispenser [100 x Runway Penetrators + 336 x Area Denial Mines]
#687 - Apache [10 x KRISS Runway Penetrators]
#1026 - BetAB-500SP CB [12 x Anti-Runway Penetrator Bomblets]
#1032 - Durandal [BLU-107]
#1033 - BAP.100 Anti-Runway
#1709 - DWS.39 AFDS [24 x STABO]
#2944 - China Type 200-4 [Durandal Copy]
How accurate can you drop these against a non area target? Is a durandal really a viable weapon against a small bunker?

All these weapons are designed for area denial, I doubt any specific "small sized" target could be singled out in that area.

[*]#1516 - 625 liter Drop Tank"
There's no "625 liter Drop Tank" on Super Étendard. There is a 600 liter centerline fuel tank ("RP 24" with 480 kg of fuel) and a 595 liter underwing fuel tank ("RP 1 SE" giving 476 kg of fuel).
Thus I suggest to:
- duplicate "#1516 - 625 liter Drop Tank", name it "600 liter Drop Tank" and set its Fuel quantity to 480 kg;
- duplicate "#1516 - 625 liter Drop Tank", name it "595 liter Drop Tank" and set its Fuel quantity to 476 kg.
----------------------------------------------
[*]LCQ
Please create a new mount named "LCQ" (for "Lance-Cartouches de Queue", literally meaning tail cartridge launcher).
It's fitted instead of the drogue parachute and does provide 3*5 flares ("#560 - Generic Flare Salvo [3x Cartridges, Single Spectral]" could probably be used there).
As far as I know, it was fitted on French aircraft in the late '80 whenever MANPADS were a threat.

http://www.ffaa.net/squadrons/11f/images/11f-0026.jpg (1999, one can tell the drogue chute ain't there, at least for the two on the left, unsure about the "tanker".)

[*]#2593 - Anemone -- 1995
Date: is 1994 (first SEM operational by November that year).
Abilities:
- does not provide information on contact's Speed nor Heading.
- it does have a Ground Mapping mode.
- it operates in the I/J-band with frequency agility, and have a Track-While-Scan ability. (is it useful to the database?)
----------------------------------------------
[*]#420 - Alkan 5081 Chaff/Flare Pod
- "Alkan LL 5081" (LL for "Lance-Leurres" aka Decoy Launcher) can carry 5*8 Flares ("C 801" 60mm magazine) or 5*18 Chaffs ("C 803" 40mm magazine), not both. As far as I know, it's preferably fitted with flares.

General Data:
- Empty Weight: 6605 (with pilot, w/o pilot it's 6510, unsure what is the standard in the DB).
- Max Weight: 11 900 (max T/O weight from carrier).
Sensors: delete the "Spirale" DECM, none of my sources mention any internal DECM solution.
Mounts:
Unsurprisngly to any early european jets enthusiast, the Super Étendard's internal two DEFA 552 30 mm cannons actually are mounted onto a gun pack ("Châssis canon" in French parlance) hosting them and their ammunitions, as you see can on that neat picture:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... endard.jpg
To make room for electronic goodies it ofen have to be removed, as you can see in that documentary describing how the emblematic Exocet loadout is being prepared:
http://youtu.be/5dHsYhuXeZw?t=28m30s (pay attention at 28:38 and 29:10)
A more contemporary example would be to carry a Rover modem during CAS over Aghanistan:
http://i.gyazo.com/114e5fa804fabd069e5929188083eb4f.png
Thus, I do suggest to:
- delete "30mm DEFA 552 x 2 (125 rnds x 2)" from all variants' mounts;
- clone #2571 - 30mm DEFA 552 x 2 Burst [50 rnds], to give that new version 250 rounds (125 per gun) and set its weight to 356 kg (which is fully loaded mass, while it's 237 kg without rounds. All figures are from Mirage 5 BA manual U-1-M5BA, "partie Planche", sheet 1-121).
Loadouts:
- Edit all loadouts where you do have 2 "625 liter Drop Tank" to have the "595 liter Drop Tank" you just created instead.
- Edit all loadouts where you do have 1 "625 liter Drop Tank" to have the "600 liter Drop Tank" you just created instead.
- "(Ferry)": add the new 30mm DEFA 552 gun pack (with its 250 rounds).(C2 loadout per the manual).
- "A/A: R.550 Magic", "A/A: R.550 Magic 2", "A/A: R.550 Magic 2 Mk2": delete the "625 liter Drop Tank". (I1 loadout per the manual).
Propulsion:
- Engine name: "Snecma ATAR 8K50" (http://i.gyazo.com/7a2adf82adfa6c5861ce8ec0ad577a73.png)
- Military Static Thrust at S/L: 4844 (4750 daN).
- Afterburner Static Thrust at S/L: 0 (doesn't have AB).
- Military Static SFC at S/L: 1.77 (was 2 kg/h/kg).
- Specific fuel flow with full AB: 0 (doesn't have AB).
It simply is a non-afterburning version of Mirage's Atar 9k50.
- Ceiling: 45 000 ft
Fuel: Quantity: 2598 kg (3247 l @0.8kg/l)

Stores & Loadouts:
- While the weapons might have been available and pilots trained to, I think that, based on the limited knowledge of it, Argentinian's Super Étendard wouldn't probably be "jeopardized" in WVR A/G mission, I would thus delete rocket and bombs loadout.
- Add "#1557 - Generic Recon Pod [Visual]" (to make up for a Thales Optronic Vicon 18 Serie 360-140A, of which I know nothing but the name) and create a Recon loadout with that pod plus two #1577 - 1100 liter Drop Tank

Stores & Loadouts: Delete rockets and bombs from Stores and Loadouts, all sources agree that Iraqi SuE have been used for nothing but Exocet strikes and, back in France, pilots were only trained to achieve that. I would delete "A/A: R.550 Magic" loadout too.
Tom Cooper also says that there may have been up to 4 Exocet shot at Bushehr nuclear power plant (ie. a land target!):
http://www.angelfire.com/art2/narod/opera/
No other source confirm such use though, especially not the French.

- add #174 - Barracuda [DECM] -- 1987", it was available from 1983.

Note:
- rockets are not cleared for operation aboard PACDG (CVN Charles-de-Gaulle), thus no more rockets from 2000.
- no more unguided bombs used from 1999 (Allied Force).
- It's only with Standard 4 that SEM will be able to guide their own GBU... and with Standard 5 that buddy lasing will be possible for the AS30L.

Sensors: add #4235 - Generic Night Vision Goggles. (a few veteran pilots were able to use NVG before but it only became widespread with NVG compatible cockpit.)
Stores:
- "#420 - Alkan 5081 Chaff/Flare Pod" might need to be added to the Stores as its already used in loadouts, you tell me.
- delete "#416 - BANG 125kg GPB" and "#415 - BANG 250kg GPB", and their related loadouts. No more unguided bombs used since 1999.
- add "#1771 - Atlis II Pod".

[*]#2850 - Super Étendard M -- France (Navy), 2011
Date: 2006.
Name: "Super Étendard M S5" for "Modernisé Standard 5". 33 upgraded airframes, 25 still operational.
Sensors: add #4235 - Generic Night Vision Goggles. (a few veteran pilots were able to use NVG before but it only became widespread with NVG compatible cockpit.)
Stores:

Voilà!
Now, just for fun, here's a short tribute video for the Super Étendard's 40:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n48UaREdI7I
"40 ans qu'on SuE, 40 ans qu'on SEM" is a pun: "SuE" (sweat) for "Super Étendard" and "SEM" (phonetic -> "s'aime", love) for Super Étendard Modernisé", that could be translated to "40 years we sweat, 40 years we love each other".

Hi Commanders,
let's have a look at the noted Dassault's Super Étendard.

- duplicate "#1516 - 625 liter Drop Tank", name it "600 liter Drop Tank" and set its Fuel quantity to 480 kg;
As far as I know, it was fitted on French aircraft in the late '80 whenever MANPADS were a threat.
http://i59.servimg.com/u/f59/17/41/08/60/parkin10.jpg (Pic by" Claymore", air boss on Foch CV in the mid '90.)
http://www.ffaa.net/squadrons/11f/images/11f-0026.jpg (1999, one can tell the drogue chute ain't there, at least for the two on the left, unsure about the "tanker".)

- delete "30mm DEFA 552 x 2 (125 rnds x 2)" from all variants' mounts;

Loadouts: create a loadout with 1 "#1921 - AN.52 Bomb", 1 "#1577 - 1100 liter Drop Tank", 1 new "600 liter Drop Tank", 1 "#1779 - Phimat Chaff Pod" and 1 #174 - Barracuda [DECM]. (The only pics I've seen are obviously training one, so that is a guess based on AS2X.)
----------------------------------------------
[*]#1275 - Super Étendard -- France (Navy), 1989
Mounts: add the new "LCQ" dispenser.
Loadouts:
- "AM.39 Exocet", add a couple of optional "#1878 - R.550 Magic 2 Mk1" (loadout "AS5" from the manual).
- duplicate "ASMP [300kT Nuclear]", add 1 "#1779 - Phimat Chaff Pod" and 1 #174 - Barracuda [DECM]. (The only pics I've seen are obviously training one, so that is a guess based on AS2X.)

[*]#1828 - Super Étendard M -- France (Navy), 1995
Date: make it 1994 to 1998. 52 airframes were modernized.
Name: "Super Étendard M S2" for "Modernisé Standard 2". Standard 1 was a prototype only.
Mounts: add the new "LCQ" dispenser.
Sensors: swap "#2885 - Sherloc" with "#2889 - Type BF", Sherloc only with Standard 4.
----------------------------------------------
[*]#651 - Super Étendard M -- France (Navy), 1998
Date: make it 1997 to 2002. Operational by April 1997, last operation in 2002.
Name: "Super Étendard M S3" for "Modernisé Standard 3".
Sensors: swap "#2885 - Sherloc" with "#2889 - Type BF", Sherloc only came with Standard 4.
Mounts: add the new "LCQ" dispenser.
Stores: add "#1906 - GBU-12D/B Paveway II LGB [Mk82]".
Loadouts:
- edit "AS.30L, Atlis II Pod [EO]" to have 1 "#1892 - AS.30L", 1 "#1771 - Atlis II Pod", 1 "#1577 - 1100 liter Drop Tank", 1 new "600 liter Drop Tank", 1 "#1779 - Phimat Chaff Pod" and 1 "#174 - Barracuda [DECM]".

[*]#1744 - Super Étendard M -- France (Navy), 2003
Date: 2000.
Name: "Super Étendard M S4" for "Modernisé Standard 4". 47 upgraded airframes.
- delete "#479 - Damocles LDP Pod [FLIR + LRMTS, 40k ft]". While it have been made available circa 2005, it was with heavy restrictions on its feature, as far as I know, it was nothing but a glorified laser designator.
Loadouts:
- edit "AS.30L, Damocles LDP Pod [FLIR]" to have 1 "#1771 - Atlis II Pod " instead of the "#479 - Damocles LDP Pod [FLIR]".
- edit "AM.39 Exocet" loadout by deleting the "#43 - Barracuda NG DECM Pod", otherwise it would unbalance the loadout (no fly-by-wire here).
- edit "ASMP [300kT Nuclear]", by deleting the "#43 - Barracuda NG DECM Pod", otherwise it would unbalance the loadout (no fly-by-wire here).

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
I did some research about the Kirov class battle cruisers because many web sources sum all four ships up as if they have the same weapon systems, and most pictures don't show the right ship they refer to.
Some things should be changed.
First how you can see which ship is on a picture.
Uschakov /ex Kirov: SS-N-14, 2x100mm (easy to idetify)
Lazarev /ex Frunze: SA-N-9 instead of SS-N-14 at the front and SA-N-9 at the back instead of AK630, the CIWS have moved to a position more forward near the FCR radar
Nakhimov /ex Kalinin: SA-N-9 and SA-N-4. Instead of 8x AK630 30mm CIWS 6x CADS-N-1
Petr Velikiy /ex Yuri Andropov: like Nakhimov but without SA-N-4 and different SA-N-6
Uschakov / ex Kirov: everything correct. position of AK630 on Uschakov compared to position on Lazarev
Lazarev / ex Frunze #498 and #152: SA-N-9 launchers should be added. SA-N-9 left and right from helo elevator SA-N-9 in front of SA-N-6 SA-N-9 at the front, decommissioned Lazaraev picture from this article
Nakhimov / ex Kalinin #496, #566 and #151: SA-N-9 and SA-N-4 should be added.
SA-N-4 between two domes SA-N-9 in front of SA-N-6 SA-N-9 next to helo elevator and ship name whole ship at the front a part from the SA-N-4 launcher visible and good view on the aft SA-N-9
Petr Velikiy /ex Yuri Andropov: everything correct no SA-N-4 between two domes compared to Nakhimov

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
A typo in WAH-64D's datas caught my eye and I looked at the Apache a bit closer. Nothing major suggested below but, well, accurate figures can't hurt. I may go further down in details later (quite French-centric for now).

- regarding British' "Royal Army": (...) is not called the Royal Army (unlike the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force) because, after a historic struggle between Parliament and monarchy, the British Army has always been answerable to Parliament and the British people. http://www.nam.ac.uk/about-us
So please change it to "Army", like all other entries.

Note:
- regarding British' "Royal Army": (...) is not called the Royal Army (unlike the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force) because, after a historic struggle between Parliament and monarchy, the British Army has always been answerable to Parliament and the British people. http://www.nam.ac.uk/about-us
So please change it to "Army", like all other entries.

[*]#1336 - Mistral 1 ATAM -- 1997, AAM
Its Air PK is 55 %, is it a typo?
For reference, here is a Stinger's Air Pk:
[*]#739 - AIM-92C Stinger ATAS RPM -- 1992: 95%
Its weight is 18.4 kg. (Jane's)
Please also create a "Mistral 2 ATAM", I don't have much details, it's advertised to be "more maneuvering" and "more aerodynamic".
Weight: 18.7 kg.
MBDA claims a 96% "proven success rate". Jane's report a 93% "success rate" based on more than 1100 tests. At DEFEXPO 2004, it's advertised to have been "qualified for the French Gazelle and Tiger attack helicopters", not sure it wasn't before that.

Jane's Naval Weapon System #44 (2006)
http://www.saairforce.co.za/the-airforc ... ral-2-atam
http://www.acig.org/artman/publish/article_425.shtml
Note:
Frédéric Lert reports that 3 Mistral 2 ATAM would have been fired at light ground targets during Operation Unified Protector (2011), at a pick-up truck driving full speed (which just dodged a HOT missile), a check-point and at an electric generator.
During the '90, the missile was tested against MBT and it damaged its engine enough to immobilize it (heard that story too when I was serving but it was the tracks that was disabled).

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues
From my notes and tables about Mistral (sources not registred, probably French Wiki and related):
Mistral S1 (1989): ranges min/max 0.27/2.9 nm. Speed 1296 knots. PK=45%.
Mistral ATAM (1990): ranges min/max 0.32/3.5 nm. Speed 1555 knots. Seeker based on Magic 2 (1985) seeker (PK=55% on my tables). PK=55%.
Mistral 2/M2 (1987): ranges min/max 0.27/3.2 nm. Speed 1555 knots. PK=55%.
FIM-92C Stinger (1989): ranges min/max 0.2/4.5 nm. Speed 1452 knots. PK=45%.
About the PH/PK/Success rate it can be ever be contested (as rule of thumb I use half the value proclamed by the user/manufacturer), but clearly Mistral and FIM-92C (1989) should be with nearly values.

please note that my concern is specifically about the ATAM version, which seems abnormally low to me, while MANPADS all seems to follow a same pattern in the DB, wherever they are from, and that's fine to me.

sea captor missiles can be quad packed in vls (such as mk 41 or sylver) similar to essm. But I don't think the database currently allows this.
