I am summoned to appear before the HOA Board of Directors (and I am graciously permitted to bring counsel) for "failure to respond to repaint request".

Meanwhile, I am waiting for them to approve the paint color change request form I sent them. [8|] I wonder if a certain "hirsute fellow" would find irony in that. What a bunch of useless B-Ark nimrods.

I am half tempted to appear in a Speedo and paint myself with the proposed colors.

I found this really cool color at Dunn Edwards..... except it was called "Teabag". I decided not to use it lest I acquire the reputation of being a "teabagger".

Ohhh...did I mention they already cashed the $50 check I had to send with "color change request"

No problemo. You had me at XXX. [X(]

No go on the Speedo / painted torso appearance, Cap'n. I recommend breaches, a smart black tunic and leather boots. Click your heels together too before stating your name, address and rank. They should appreciate this format a little more.

Have your "counsel" send a notice of intent to sue. They are clearly harassing you by dunning you while not responding, and this AAR is clear evidence of the emotional distress they have inflicted (always big in California).

Whadaya mean you don't have counsel? My Argletonian colleague and I have been counseling you here since time immemorial.

Put those HOA guys in their place by tellin' 'em about the bum rap they're getting in your online game community. The one where you move the tiny ships around and save the world. And write about it online. At length.

They'll see you for the paragon of virtue and community pillar that they so espouse for their community. Then, and only then, can you provide them with nude pictures of yourself. Waiving community paint standards won't be the only sort of 'waiving' distracting them.

I do wish you had come to us for counsel earlier, Cap'n. We're only too glad to help.

Oh, see what you can do about snapping a picture of the HOA hottie for us too.

Iba and environs: XXXXXXXXX was indeed inbound. Arried High Command (hehe) anticipated a night raid on either Iba or Lingayen so we sent all the women and children over to the arroyo for safety. North Carolina and Massachusetts stayed behind. We spot them coming with radar...we have 18 x 16 inch guns....we cross their "T"...but we are not impressed.

I'd have to say we lost that fight marginally though I don't know what caliber the hits on the two USN BB's were. Then the sun comes up and they are still around. Realtively short range fight for daylight. It appears Massachusets was AWOL for half the fight. One IJN DD sunk and Kirishima hit twice more. Hard to say we won that exchange either.

USN:

One DD heavy damage

Both BB's will need repairs almost certainly

IJN:

Kirishima heavy damage

One DD sunk, one sinking

Kuma, one DD damaged.

Seems to me the Kirishima TF should have been set to "retirement allowed". I suspect they hoped to catch the transports at Iba and thought the daytime risk would be worth it.

Another interesting thing. Vigan (Northern Luzon) just flipped to Arried control last turn (evidently no garrison). Some infantry of the 34th RCT at Altimonan and some Kiwi infantry at Legaspi were ordered flown in to secure the town.

This eleminates any need for an opposed landing at Laoag. If Vigan had a garrison it either was moved down toward Lingayen or up to Laoag. Vigan has an existing level 2 airfield.

So I am watching this thing on the Franks (the people not Ann's family) and I was intrigued by all their battles with the Goths...the Ostrogoths....the Visigoths..and it occurs to me you never hear about the Invisigoths. It's like they disappeared.

Same deal on Pliny Jr. Pliny the Elder gets all the press. There must be a Pliny Jr. if there is a need to specify Pliny the Elder. History is wierd, eh? Maybe the Invisigoths were big news in AD 620(c)?

I have it on good authority that most of these Fleshogoths are undercover as college administrators.
