I have to say we have been growing fresh herbs, and veggies the last couple of years. It is great when you can walk out the back door and harvest. Less expensive as well.....

Hopefully next year we will plant a vegetable and herb garden. Raised up though....GP

The taste is so much better. Walking out to the garden and picking fresh cherry tomatoes and eating them instead of those things in the store. Picking fresh green beans and eating them raw. Picking two bushels of cucumbers twice a week . . . [:D]

Consider planting potatoes in a frame and building it up while adding more soil. I read where a 4 foot cubic frame can grow 100 pounds of potatoes that way.

And if you plant zucchinis you can feed all your neighbours as well! *

* (provided your well can keep up with the watering! Watering may be the "stacking limit" on your garden).

Add them to the pasta sauce.

Cook them with onions, tomatoes, seasoned with basil, oregano, parsley, and garlic. Maye even some hot peppers.

Slice the larger ones, batter them, and then deep fry them.

Slice the larger ones, put pizza sauce on them, cheese, plus any other toppings that you want.

Shred and use for fritters and/or bread. You can also use the shredded stuff or even sliced lenthwise as a substitute for lasagna noodles for a low carb and gluten free dish.

As for the watering, drink lots of ! [;)]

Best use of zucchini that I have had was a chocolate cake that used the zucchini ground up to make a very moist but not soggy cake, with a killer chocolate icing and a butterscotch filler between the two layers. Here's to health food that tastes heavenly!

Yes, cocoa powder and thus chocolate are very good for you. It is best if it is not Dutch processed (with lye) as that can destroy some of the goodness.
