I think the Russians sprung the General Winter trap a little too early - all their winterized units are still too far from the Germans!

Obtaining weather data was vital for military operations in Northwestern Europe during World War II. In an effort to secure this data, the German Navyair force secretly established manned weather stations in East Greenland, Svalbard,Franz Josef Land.

But as we can see the data was crap or the worst weather seen might Stop any chances the German army has in the USSR.

During WW2 CW solved problem by breaking Enigma code and listening German weather reports from every city. Forecasts given to bomber forces were ”quite accurate”.

A 1 is better than a 2, in the Arctic zone at least.

Yes, the Germans can still manoeuvre freely in the snow, which is where most of the Ostheer is right now.

It is mostly the Japanese that curses the weather. The Japanese had a plan ready to execute if the weather was fine. If it was rain then it could be fixed, but with storm it all went into the trash bin. And it is not like they can do anything else with most of their forces immobilized in the mountains. [:(]

Although all the Axis powers are frustrated that the impulse marker moves 2 steps because of the weather.

These are the moments when I like we use online dice roller, just like we have spoken in other threads. I can enjoy seeing Axis struggle in mud and I know nobody can think how Allies rolled so well just in right time.

Land: Germany
Combined: Italy, Japan
Naval:

No port strikes. No naval air.

Naval Movement:

Italy:
SUB (La Spezia) -> CSV 3-box

Japan:
2 x CV + 2 x BB + 4 x CA + MAR Div (Fukuoka) -> Bismarck Sea 2-box
2 x BB + 2 x cA (Tokyo) -> Bismarck Sea 2-box

The Italian SUB searches for the CW convoys in CSV.

Will CW fly any air to CSV? They have one FTR2, and one NAV2 available in Gibraltar.
