44-5-19:
I have seen the CBT report. Highlights.

1. 2 IJN BB TFs have steamed to SinaBang to Bombard. Heavy damage , one BB Fuso class took a torp. Effort is made to shut down my level 5 AF.
2. IJN is still losing transports at Sabang to allied TBDs out of Andamans. Sabang is under night HB attacks and has 100% reported runway damage. So Runway cant be fixed until John figures out how to stop my B24s flying out of Rangoon. So John has LR CAP over Sabang (which I sweep every day!!!.)
3. IJN CV TFs have disappeared from my reports.
4. Lunga falls this turn as allies gain a level 8 AF.
5. A fast IJN BB TF (2 Kowachi Class BCs w/speed 34) has arrived at Etorofu (intel).
6. A mismatch between surface units in the Kuriles It will be several turns before allied BBs can get into the area.
7. Looks like the IJN has reinforced southern Kuriles and Sakhalen Island at heavy transport cost collected by a 10 ship CVE TF stationed 5 hexes from Sakhalin and South Kuriles (the sweet spot). I figure John may try to ambush my CVEs with that Fast BB TF. If He misses then I will nail the BBs in daylight.
8. Northern Kuriles are under heavy allied pressure. US has bombarded and closed the AFs at Paramushiro and Shimiushiri.

Nagato took 4 torps and some bombs in the previous report. Was there any confirmation of her sinking by FP losses?

FYI, I am in the sweet spot, but running low on ammo.

The Kowachi TF is at Bihoro.

Correction: I am facing the Owari class BB in the Kuriles. It has a 410mm gun. Probably equal to a 15inch gun.

I am surprised that someone did not swap some of those 25mm AA weapons for 40mm AA weapons since this is a mod. I would do so on a 3 for 2 basis.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Hey Sir.

The web site has been shut down due to age. I have commissioned my 17 Year-Old Christopher to develop me a new web page that I can fill with all the RA information. He thinks that he can get it going by the end of this weekend. Sorry about the issues.

Had a long conversation with Michael while we were driving back-and-forth to Craig on Tues-Wed and have made some major Mod decisions. We are going to create three variants of Between the Storms: Traditional, Moderate, and All-In. The thinking is what would have happened if Yamamoto couldn't drive out the 'Fleet' Faction (Traditional with Yamato's), partially wins and brings in more 'Treaty' Faction leadership (Moderate with several conventional 16" gun BBs and B-65 Battlecruisers), and then totally drives out the 'Fleet' Faction and the 'Treaty' Faction completely takes over the Kaigun (little-to-no heavy ship construction with complete CV emphasis).

It has been a long, LONG time since I had some motivation to go back into serious Modding. Looks like that is about to occur!

The Site will feature five Mods available for play. They will have the three BTS Variants (covering 1922- 1941), the original Reluctant Admiral (1937-1941), and then the Treaty Mod (1922-1936).

BANZAI!

Look for a new thread starting over in Scenario Design.

PS--One-Eyed Jacks: I cans end the files over to you thru email. What would you be interested in me sending? PM or directly email me Sir.

Re: Rising Sun, Falling Skies: BTSL Bigred vs John 3rd

Post by bigred »

I am concerned that my army in AUS (10 divisions) will never get used to help defeat the Evil Empire. After a HUGE Victory off Baker Island in feb I wonder if I have wasted my momentum. When John invaded Austrailia in 42 I had no choice but to deploy the army to stop him. The problem occurs later as I have a shortage of troop transporters (because John sank them) with the army in AUS and I could not move forward until I sank his CVs.

Now the SoPac army is 3000 miles from Japan. I try to patrol the gap between Truk and Rabaul to trap the IJA in Sopac with me. Then this happens. Frustration>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
