Turn 15. Jan/Feb 1942. Allied #4. Impulse Planning.

Western Allies - Active WAR Directives.
00-AL-WAR-Western-Allies.png
00-AL-WAR-Western-Allies.png (91.09 KiB) Viewed 194 times
CW, France – Naval
1. West Africa – 20% fine x 90% next impulse = 18% Wavell assault vs Asmara (next impulse).
2. Position 13th Ind Inf w/TRS Gp 0-4-5-4 (Bombay) in Red Sea.
3. Position 3 RN BBs in Red Sea (for shore bombardment).
4. Position NZL MIL w/Queens (both currently in Auckland) in Bismarck Sea, for either (a) debark MIL or RTB @EOT Queens & MIL to Rabaul.
5. Italian Coast– (20% fine + 20% rain) x 90% next impulse x Y% Break It Supply to Sardinia < 36% capture OOS & undefended Olbia, Sardinia (next impulse).
6. West Med – Break Italian supply through West Med to Italian forces in North Africa & Sardinia.
7. Atlantic – “Optimally” mitigate CP lines and production disruption given 10% only allied impulse.
8. However; position for “further” mitigation given 90% allies do get another impulse this turn.

USA – Combine
1. North Atlantic - Use 3 NMs to maximize CP escort support vs threat (1 It Sub Gp in St-Nazaire).
2. (10% snow + 50% snow) x 90% next impulse = 54% allied air (at ½ strength) contributes to ASW.

USSR – Land
1. Asian (Soviet Asian) - Yeremenko’s request to take, with near certainty, Korean Iron RP (NW-1 Seoul) is denied.
2. Specifically, denied by Stalin & Molotov (though officially denied by STAVKA).
3. Rationale is the “need” to keep the Red Army fully mobilized (e.g., remaining at war with Japan) until the likely German invasion of the USSR, which is now assessed as no earlier than 16MA42 (next turn); but most likely 17MJ42.
4. Yeremenko’s Front will position to breakthrough Japan’s FLOT in Korea; specifically with an eventually objective of capturing Seoul and Iron RP NW1-Seoul by 17MJ42.
5. Zhukov’s Front will maximize push into China with the goals of positioning to isolate Iron MAN RP 67, 145, eventual capture of Peking and/or minor port of Tientsin.
6. Eastern Front – Koniev (Baltic States & Belorussian) Front – continue to “optimize” layered defenses.
7. Timoshenko (Ukrainian) Front - continue to “optimize” layered defenses.
