Good evening, Thread brethren and sisteren!
I have not been up for many, many, moons but have now retired and have slowly progressed a wee bit in learning how to BE retired. Without the demand of a weekly bulletin, sermon, and many other ecclesiastical duties, including the ever present list of meetings, my wife is going nuts trying to keep me from turning into a tree (which, at 72 could be a huge temptation) specially combined with many numerous temptations - BOOKS TO READ for FUN! Also, I am going to re-enter the conflict in the Pacific on (I hope) a more regular basis!! EGAD!
What's next??? A possible visit to an actual on the field with a crowd and shouting and noise football game might loom in the future!!

Yes, high school and most college games should be fun to watch.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I took to retirement like a fish takes to water!!!![:D]

When I retired my job had taken everything it could out of me. I was done, spent. Best decision of my life.

I've been constantly busy ever since. Well maybe a bit of a slowdown due to Covid.

Seriously, I've no idea how I managed to get anything done when I was working. I barely have time these days for the three basic S's.

I'm probably still 15 years away from retirement, but given the means I could retire today and never be bored if I live to 100! I have so many things that I want to do and spend time on. I just need to get this whole pesky "work" thing out of the way. [:D]

Our work is closing early today before the 3 day holiday weekend. We've been really busy lately, so I'm really ready for the break! [8D]

Don't tell me that she put your cinnamon or caramel roll on your chair seat and you did not look at the chair seat again so you sat on it . . . [:-]
