I don't know if the 13th Armored Division being in this mod is an alternate history thing, but in reality it was in Europe at this time. I stumbled on the 13th Armored Group (I think) in a book or online somewhere, and it was the administrative HQ of the U.S. Army's independent tank battalions on Okinawa (and possibly earlier). So, I could see the 13AD as a balance to the IJA's extra tank units in this mod, or it could be a mistake if someone thought it was involved in the theater this early. Perhaps John could chime in.

Cheers,
CB

The Franklin has just rejoined the fleet after 9 months in the yards. Up thread the Franklin was involved in the 1943 Kodiak Disaster. Japan may have her number next turn.
EDit: Franklin is a new fleet build. I was thinking about the Bunker Hill.

John stated earlier in this AAR that the 13th AR was a land issue imported with Dababes.

Thanks for finding that. My google skills must have atrophied, as I couldn't find it on the Internets a couple of days ago.

Still, as an AFB it must be fun having an extra armored division around to play with.

Dont know, ask John. But I saw I could buy it out. The 13th AR seems destined for the Irrawaddy valley.[:D]

Excellent. It would be fun to have something like wreaking havoc in Burma. Do you get enough M4 replacements support the division?

CB

The Burma Army is now the Thai army, or CTI. On this blow up allies need to clear a 2 hexes for the Chang Mai rail line to be up and running. Japs retreated onto my Raheing-Moulmein Road. Hopefully this is a minor event as the road from Moulmein to Bangkok is wide open.

Aruythia is last hex standing on the line. It will probably go allied with attack next turn.

July 8 and 9th. In CBI, The IJA 25th army is stuck in the woods on east side of Chang Mai rail line except some units defending Aruythia (probably cleared next turn).

John may now regret sending his CVEs into CentPac because his 5 divs at Medan appear to be stuck also. Allied air and sea beat down alot of transports around Medan.
I since quality of JAP pilots is down and supply an issue as I see more and more bombing runs from Nells that should have been in torp attacks.

SoPac is a stalled operating area because of frequent visits from a reconstituted 500 plane 4/3 speed KB. My read is John wants to keep the oil shipments to HI open and is willing to slowly sacrifice the CBI. Still, Rabaul is now surrounded by air and SEALOC. Truk is in range of my b24s from Manus. Soon also from Kavieng, which just fell this turn. Will I now bypass Rabaul and Truk. We will see. In my last game against FatR, It took me 5 allied divisions 100 prep to capture Truk. The first 2 that landed were torched.

NoPac: IIRC the exp level of IJA reserve BDEs is 35. These units need to train up and have some experience in China. Unfortunately for Japan the IJA in Hokkaido appears to be fielding these units early into battle. My read from combat reports tell me the allies are having an easy time pushing around these IJA BDE. I am soon expecting to see 2 or 3 real jap divisions. Then the test will begin for ground victory on Hokkaido

44-7-10. This TF was attacked by 6 Jap nav air attacks over2 days. I had no CAP(mistake). In 1943 these ships would be sunk. In mid '44 seems I can sail were I want with no fear of IJ nav air (except around the monster mini KB). Next turn this TF will have CAP.
