Ugh! They did that to us at the beginning of 2009. I have become quite used to bringing my big thermos of home brewed coffee to work. Image

I never drink the coffee they make here. That stuff from a can is awful beyond belief. I'm quite sure it's ground up bird crap and road sweepings.

Sounds like Harry Turtledove's repeated descriptions of USA cigarettes while at war with the CSA.  [:D]

I think they got that recipe from Starbucks.

Could be subliminal recall as I've certainly read all of that series. [:D]

Some of Starbucks' blends are ok. They have a few that they only light or medium roast than are pretty good. I really don't like dark roast coffee of any sort. If I wanted to drink cyanide-laced motor oil I would just drink cyanide-laced motor oil. [:'(]

I've got a little roaster here in RTP that I get my coffee from. You should search on Muddy Dog coffee, USS. He does it right.

I'm just finishing up the first of the "Settling Accounts" series. I've really enjoyed them all so far.

I buy online from a micro roaster on the Outer Banks, Front Porch Cafe. They have free shipping with a $40 order. http://frontporchcafeonline.com/.

Mynok, if you prefer a light roast, you'd love the Brazilian Daterra Rainforest Alliance. I posted a review on that one.

It's snowing, there's snow on the roads, it's windy and it's below freezing 24 hours a day.

Thus the weather update. Bedtime.[>:][>:][>:][>:]

That would make drinking a brew of bird crap and road sweepings seem like a fresh cup of Jamaican Blue Mountain.

Thing that burns my toast is that we get told how great things are and then on the heels of it we get another basic commodity taken away. Its like being told to bend over and smile while doing it.

Um...it IS being told to bend over and grin about it. That's why I avoid corporate work as much as possible. Soul crushing......

Not surprisingly, my guy has some of the same coffees: http://www.muddydogcoffee.com.

The Ethiopia Natural Sidamo Guji is outstanding. He'll roast it how you want it too.

[:D] This will incite discontent: I LIKE dark roast coffee! [:D] The darker the roast , the better I like it. So far the darkest I can find is Starbucks French roast, but if anyone knows something darker and stronger , please let me know so that I can try it! [:D]
