Also note the spreadsheet available in one of the stickied threads. It should help a lot. You can use the autofilters in Excel to narrow down what you want.
Thanks,

Carrier Rifle Section should be modeled with their Bren guns!
RE: MCS User WISHLIST
Hello,
How about the German helicopters?
The Fl-282, aerial observation, and later fitted with a pair of air-to-ground anti-tank missles.
The Fa-223, a troop carrier and equipment / supply aircraft capable of carrying up to 8,000lbs.
Like all german weapons what be the earliest date for use in the game?

Hi Maybe some more terrain options/variables.....for the maps. Maybe not to change the game but just for display purposes have some different tree types.
Would be great to see some more naval units and i imagine a cruiser/battleship could be represented with a higher SP value. The invasion of Norway comes to mind as well as the efforts of the Prince Eugen late war in providing fire support for retreating german units and civilians.I realise that fire support can be represented as off map artillery but it would be nice to have a visual representation for some scenarios and the option for airstrikes against these naval units. Just some thoughts anyway.
Oh and the option to replay own turn visually

Hey! Great job so far on the series, excited about 1.03
Here are some things that would make a worthwhile difference for me:
Linked Campaigns- Possibility of enemy "core" organizations. ie enemy losses are remembered.
Dynamic Campaigns- Smarter enemy deployment. Okay the AI doesn't have to be perfect, but it doesn't stand a chance if rifle platoons and trucks are strewn randomly across the battlefield. Something simple like keeping companies together and placing them close to objectives sounds achievable.
The ability to scroll the scenario description in game would be great too. Especially when playing an LCG with many objectives, you want to go back and read the full description.
And a pause button during enemy turns would help so so much.
Thanks again,
AFS

AFS,
Pausing is available now. Just press the little computer button (see screenshot) and wait for the A/I to stop it's current move. It could take a few seconds.
EDIT : click the button again to unpause the A/I's turn.

Couple of things
Make artillery fire dependant on chain of command and add a delay factor for firing from one hex spotted by one unit, to another spotted by another unit. It seems to me a bit ridicules that you can shift the entire artillery from one side of the map to another and then back again each few minutes.
Do something about scouting at the moment the only way you can scout is, scout by death, you should be able to move one or two hexes in scout mode, to peer over a hill or round a wood hex without immediately being blown to pieces

RE: MCS User WISHLIST
I personally would love to a total Dynamic Campaign game for all nationalities covering the entire war from start to finish. Give players the option of choosing the Nation, unit preference, tank, infantry, etc. and have that character play thru the entire war. Give players the option of being able to transfer to different divisions, theatres of war, etc. Start at Battalion level and work up. Give players the option to pick any battalion as their respective core unit. If players choose to stay with their orginal division, the division can ber transferred to other theatres of war, for example; 1rst SS Panzer served on the east front, in Italy and on the West front at variouys times during the war. As the players progress up the Chain of command and command larger and larger formations, increase the number of turns in a battle, especially for Corp engagements. Possible even adding an Army level formation, commanding multiple Corps. Granted the map would have to be huge and the number of turns dramatically increased. (persoanlly, I would love to command the entire 6th SS Panzer Armee in an engagement!)
I would also like to see in this dream campaign, the Italian campaigns in east africa, the subsequent british conquest, and a middle east section dealing with the british conquest of vichy frence holdings in palestine--even the italian occupation of albania!!! (at the very least, make the option to transfer the players character there the players choice!)
The units I would love to see added:
Japanese Guards Division
1rst Parachute Brigade (Japanese)
Japanese SNLF's (Like the Kobe Brigade)
Japanese Tank Divisions (1 was in Manchuria, the other I believe was in the philippines)
All SS Divisions
Hermann Goring Panzer Parachutte Division
Panzer Lehr and Grossedeutchland Divisions
Brandenburg Division
All US Marine Divisions ( 6 of them I believe)
wellll....basically the entire OOB for all nations for the entire war....a very daunting task indeed, and one which may never happen considering units were formed, upgraded, and disbanded constantly throughtout the war...however, something even remotely rersembling that would be a welcome addition.
For the Japanese, open up the China war, include the manchurian front, and the battles in india.....such as the Imphal Campaign...all this can be handled by additions...conversely....since we are talking abut a dynamic campaign, all battles are randomly generated....we only need to keep an eye on historical dates, some battles or transfer options cannot occur past a certain date, or before a certain date, but maybe a few week time fudge can be ok....for the sake of playability, but it is something that has to be worked out.
Please keep in mind this is only a brain fart, not a hard and fast expose....whether this is feasible or not I havent a clue, but it something to at least consider.
Perhaps...only perhaps....it would be possible to add a feature to create their own dynamic campaign games????? to alter replacements rates...upgrades to units....things like that....just musing again.
for randomly generated battles on the pbem...hotseat, or standard mode....allow players to pick the formations they want to use, as it is now...if you click on a generated batttle...the computer will choose the units, I would like to pick my own tank battalion, not wait on the computer to decide its going to be an infantry battle...we get to pick the year, terrain, and the nationalities....so why not the units?...or at least the core unit...the support units can be picked by the computer...or create a pool of points and assign a value to the unit you want to purchase for the battle...that may work...much like the game Panzers: Phase 1....just an idea.
In any event, I hope I havent bored you all to death with this. Just the musing of an overworked mind....but still....would mind seeing it in the game. I hope to get somegood feedback. let me know your thoughts.

I would like ATG's that do not automatically become visible after the first shot. There should be progressive chance after each shot of being spotted by a non disrupted enemy unit. Give them a greater chance of drawing first blood.

HIDDEN ANTI-TANK (1.03): This provides small anti-tank guns (57mm – 6pdr or SMALLER) a 50% chance to remain hidden when it fires. This also applies to Bazooka/Panzerfaust/AT Rifles
It is included for 1.03.

RE: MCS User WISHLIST
Thanks for your quick response. What about a lesser chance for calibers above 57mm? Maybe 25%? With a low-lying carriage, a 75mm ATG when camouflaged should be hard to spot at least initially.

RE: MCS User WISHLIST
Iäm glad you guys have pick this series up from Talon soft. I always wished that someone would ugraded and improve this fine game. As I always loved it for its diversity and potential. I have always been a World war two buffer since I was a kid and always though that this series represented this tragic but facinating war on a tactical level very well.
I want to thank this group of Guys who have pick this up this campaign series and are now trying to upgraded up to its potential.
Thank you and thank you for listening to us and our seggestions.
This are my suggestion on how to improve this series to higher levels for the enjoyment of this community.
1. Is it possibe to give the Ai and players the option of having the troops and vehicle move a bit faster like the flight Simulators have. This way it would make the bigger scenerios more manageble and sensible.
I know you can speed the troops movements with the OPTIONS, mode and clicking on "Fast Human Player" and "Fast Computer Player. What Iäm taking about of having the option of several different speeds options that would allow us the player to play in bigger maps and with different and with bigger Units like Corps and Armies in the Eastern Front and the Western Front and perhaps the Chinenese Front plus the Philipines and Okinawa camapings.
I not only play with this game but I like to fly with several Flight Simulator like Combat flight Simulator 1 and 2 plus on occations with CFS3 as well. I also have IL46 which is a excellent Eastern Front and Pacific Theater combat flight Simulator. They all give you the option of speeding up your flight leading to the action zone. Other wise when I go flying in those long Pacific missions to intercept a enemy fleet in would take me hours to finish the mission.
Very few of us in our Modern society has that kind of time. I was thinking that we should give users of this program the same type of options. Something like to speed thing up from one to five. ALL should be done within reason since we are talking about ground units and not about arial units. Everthing should slow down to normal once the unit in a area has contact with enemy.
2. Would it be possible to be able to move two or three units at the same time in approximate area. This will give us the ability to simulate bigger Battlefields and units like the one in the Eastern Front and Western Europe plus the Phillipines and Chinese Front.
3.What about adding guerrillas to the OOB. They would not revieve reinforcement and they should have a slight higher concealment points as to allow them to make sneaki attack behind the Front lines.
This will add a element that was there during the World war two and that is not at this stage of this series. There where plenty of Guerrillas in China and in the Eastern Front not to mention Yugoslavia and France plus the Phillipines and many other areas of the World.
This will add a element of surprise and disruption to Operational plans that always existed during that war
4.I would to like see unit have the ability to Burn villages and cities as the enemy approaches like it Happen often in World war two especialy in China and Russia in the early part of the war. I just saw a documentary call lost evidence in World war two in the International History Channel.I saw the one on the Liberation of Luzon and they explain how the Japanese burn Manila before the USA troops where able to enter it. I would like to minic that.
I believe we also need for Cities Building to recieve damage when Hit by altillery and Bombers. That also happen alot in the Western and the Italian Front. The classical scenery would be the battle for Monte Casino. At the begining of the scenerio it would be intact and few stages later a wreck. That would make it very interesting and realistic at the same time.
5. Could it be possible for Engineers to build plantoon and other simple bridges while playing in a scenerio. I think that would add another element of realisism to this series.
6.This one is not my Idea but ask by another member but I think it should be incorporated into this series. I would surely make it more interesting.
If I understood you correctly. You should be able to dialog or highlight a forward FO and enable it or activate it to get a sight view from it and then call in Altillery shots on a tarket. those Altillery shots should have a higher percetage of accurate hits than most indirect atillery hits.

RE: MCS User WISHLIST
Carpet Bombing can and I hope to be inplemented in my opinion. My only request is that it use be only use only in scenerio that uses brigade or bigger units and Historical preset scenerios. The Area that is going to be carpet Bomb should be Highlighted with no guarantee that this area will the only one Bomb. This will make it a bit more dangerous to the friendly forces as it was in the real World in WW2.
You do not need hundreds of Bomber to be able to mimic this effect. With 15 to 20 or so Bomber depending on the size of the unit you are using and size of the scenerio. It should be delay from three to 5 turns as to have some effect on the scenerio been played. This are just my sugestions!
Thank you
PS we do need for Buiding strutures to be destroyable for this to be realistic looking!

Do you think we could incorporate donkies and Mule to supply troops in the Front line. They where widely use in the Eastern Front,Italian Front,Burma and other fronts to carry supplies through difficult terrain where vehicles where not useful.

I would like to see C47 flying in to resupply Front line troops like they did in Burma and New Guinea theater of war and in other Fronts line like in the Western Front during Operation Marker Garden
RE: MCS User WISHLIST
Let's not lose sight that this is a tactical game and not a strategic one. Carpet bombing is a strategic attack. Burning villages? That has nothing to do with actual combat. It was mainly done to punish civilians and for morale destruction of a country. Donkies and mules? I suggest you play "let's pretend" and consider the horse-drawn wagons that are already in the game as a donkey, mule, burro, or goat. C-47 resupply? Would you like to see them kick out boxes and then send your troops to chase after and find them? Let's be realistic about these requests. Next we'll be hearing requests for more realistic blood and gore with body parts scattered around the map.

Deputy if you really think about it all this request can be implemented. Some times you have to think out of the box. Iám not interested with my suggestions in converting this program into nothing else than the best Tacticle WW2 game of all time. The Battle of Monte Casino for example was one of the biggest taticle Battle in History and there no reason we should not be able to mimic it through this program.
I believe most if not all the suggestions given by our members will improve this program and make it a better program for our collection pleasure.
Burning villages and some times cities was also done to deny your enemy their resources to them. The Chinese did in the thirties as they retreated deep to inner China as the Japanes advance deep its territory and the Russians did the same thing as they retreated in 1941 during Opration Babarossa.
You see it was also use for tacticle Military purpose. In Operation Cobra carpet Bombing was also use for tacticle purpose. You see everthing requested has a tacticle reason for beign ask. It will make this program a lot more immersing and think that this what this game is all about.
Have a good day!

What you are losing sight of is that all these requests people are making would require a patch larger than the actual program. [X(]
You also have to consider how often the features you are suggesting would actually be used in the game. And what they would do to play balance. Imagine a tank attack suddenly being carpet-bombed and completely destroyed. Quite honestly, if they incorporated ALL the requests made by members, I would NEVER patch the game to that level of complexity. It would take a year just to play one campaign. Plus the playability would go right out the window along with any fun factor. I think what you are looking for is available in OTHER computer games. You might want to look at Battles in Italy or Battles in Normandy if you want to go with more complex games.
BTW....you have your requests posted in at least THREE different threads. Repeating a request over and over is not going to get it approved.

RE: MCS User WISHLIST
Hi There.
I have a rather a large wish list I would like to see for all MA CS games. So here goes:
Tanks able to dig themselves in 'Hull down' I think is the expression. I guess this will have to be done by the tank crews.
The sould effects are horrible. In particular 60 or 80mm morters don't sound like morters. Lots of sounds could be improved in my opinion.
When towing lge field guns I would like to see them being towed behind and not just dissapearing!!!
How about seeing vehicles as a burning wreck when they are knocked out not just a crude flame.
For newbies like me how about denoting the short cut keys along side the drop down menue option. So even if you don't orininally know the sort cut key its easy to learn. So the shortcut key for thermometer is denoted when you scroll down to find the thermometer in the menue.
