Well i think we will not find out veary soon as polish clubs suck... any way most of those fans were drunk... my friend went there and save 500Euros becouse of this fight he bet that Legia will win but since the match was canceled he got his money back. The fight in Wilno had another background my friend told me that the Luithanians offended Poland and thats why the riot started. Any way most of those taking part in those fights do not care about the match who will win or who loses the club colors are just a cover for that they just want to have a fight. Those fight are called Ustawka and are fought either barehanded or equipped (clubs, axes, kniefs and such) some of them took place in city's and changed into running battles with oposit fans and the police. I remeber hearing that some time ago in Cracow a fan of Cracovia was checking something under Wisla stadium and got recodnized and beeten severly, few days after that a team of Cracovia fans infiltrated a area where Wisla fans lived and broke into the house of one of the attackers then beaten them severly and chopped his hand of with an axe.... im not into football that much but i also remember that Polonia stadium was set on fire by Legia fans...

"IMO, one shouldn't let a player be in the national team that doesn't sing the anthem... "

I'd say that there's probably a lot of players who we wish would never sing at all... [;)]

Just one question reading about the polish hooligan scene: What measures will be taken for the next Euro. Guess it won`t give a positive feedback if fans from around Europe will be beaten up. Or is the scene stricly restricted on those who want to fight each other?

I remember some history about quals to World Cup or Euro some time ago. We were playing in Stockholm against Sweden. And some supporters of Lechia Gdańsk and Pogoń Szczecin made a ustawka against each other. Swedish police was there - they were prepared for Polish aggressive supporters, but they had no plan what to do in case Poles start fighting against each other, so not intervened.

Prince they mainly fight one another or togheter against the Police but in case of Euro 2012 i think they will not bother to attack normal fans from around the Europe but they may be fighting Hooligans from other Europeans Countrys.

Netherlands 3 Italy 0. I must say I didn't see that coming. This may end up being a year for surprises[:)]

A deserved victory for Total Football tonight [&o]

I'm not surprised Holland have won, but I thought it would only be a single goal...

Yes, scoring 3 goals against the Italians is not normal at all...

Remember what I said, they almost always do the same... a lousy start and then... somehow... But this time they will need many miracles. They are in the Death Group (France, Italy and Holland [X(]). And don't forget Romania... kind of underdogs, from what I have read.

So, Holland & Romania will get to the next phase anyone...?

What a great second goal by Holland. The first one, Ruud was a mile offside!!!!!!!!

Actually, he wasn't offside. There was this italian defender that bumped together with his own goalie and fell just outside the pitch. Since he hadn't left the pitch with the referee's consent, he's considered to be 'in play' and so cancels the offside.

This rule is to intended to prevent a defender from stepping out of the pitch just to put an attacker offside (Note however, if he had left the pitch as a result of a 'bump' with a dutch player, this wouldn't be vaild).

That's why the first goal was allowed.

True.

From the rules:
"A defender who leaves the field during the course of play and does not immediately return must still be considered in determining where the second to last defender is for the purpose of judging which attackers are in an offside position. Such a defender is considered to be on the touch line or goal line closest to his or her off-field position. A defender who leaves the field with the referee's permission (and who thus requires the referee's permission to return) is not included in determining offside position."

Agreed ... and this is one rule that van Nistelroy is expert at exploiting.
