Remember, it's asking for class of ship, not ship names themselves. [:)]

I'm late to this party, but I think the answer you want is Forrestal class. (CVA-59). Saratoga is 60 (As in "The suckin' 60 from Dixie --her "not nice-name that all warships have) 61 is Ranger. 62 Independance.

And Long Island is "Long Island" class. Or rather "What is"? [:D]

Why? Is anyone else taking a swing? [:D]

Yer right. OK-I'll change tack and give you a hint instead. What is a unique aspect of the "Commerce Bay" class of aircraft carriers? [:)]

Was kind of hoping you'd 'bite' on this bait, Steve-O earlier in the thread. [;)]

The unique aspect of the "Commerce Bay" class of aircraft carriers is that they were never built. Now Commencement Bay, on the other hand...

Just messin' with you. [:D]

Still got quite a few pictures to go-I was a real shutterbug (for me) on the Midway and surrounds. San Diego is a beautiful city with freakin' awesome weather. Very tempting... [8D]

My Dad took me to see Yorktown as a kid. I expected her to be huge, but going aboard her and looking over the side, some things you just have to see to grasp the scope and magnificence.

Interesting thread, thanks, man.
