So um.......Marcin has a real life commitment that was going to limit his availability so Thomas Harvey volunteered to
play the Japs against me and so we thought we'd start w/ the newest version incorporating all the changes needed
so far.

This is the PI now. Tom has gotten a foothold on the main island and has landed at Leyte. I'm going to see if I can't
evacuate MacArthur to Australia before it starts getting hairy. Also, I've been thinking of flying the aircraft to China
and making my way to Burma with the planes to help the Singapore operation somewhat. But I feel the need to get
some use out of them for a while near Manila before I do that.

I read somewhere that humans eat more bananas than monkeys and I believe it's true because I don't remember the last time I ate a monkey.

There were some strikes on the Prince of Wales and so that TF is down to a couple of DD's now. I'm planning on parking this group
near Ceylon to rest and refit.

Okie dokie......I've done some moving near Manila and this is what I've decided upon for the configuration I need to defend
Manila and environs. I just happened to notice that the proficiency of Phillippine army stuff is 1%. Holy Moly. I wouldn't dare
attack with those guys. They would get slaughtered. I left the Marines at Bataan and moved the PBY's to Cebu and I'm
thinking I ought to do something else with those ships. I'm not sure what just yet. I could move them to Singapore or better yet
to Australia.

Edit: I just happened to notice just now that I've left MacArthur at Manila. I'm going to move him to Australia via boat just like
in real life.

I moved MacArthur to Townsville so he can act as HQ for supply purposes for the three airfields there. I plan on parking some
heavy bombers at Townsville so he'll come in handy for that. If it starts to get hairy at T-ville I'll move him to Perth or somewhere.

Here's what it looks like just north of the Celebes. I'm planning on moving some low-rent fighters to these islands eventually to
provide what air power they can. Not yet though, the Japs aren't moving through there yet. I need the fighters in PI and near
Singapore and in Burma. And west China.

This is SW China before I've started moving anybody so you can see what the situation is to deal with on turn one.
I'm planning on trying to keep the Japs from using the railroad through here to keep the number of men turning up
in Malaya and India to a minimum. Also, I'm thinking of using my partisans to damage the railroad too.

Here's what Northern China looks like. I'm leaving this sector exclusively to the Communist Chinese and their mission is to deny
the Japs the use of the railroad and to blow the bridges between here and the south and just generally be a nussance.

Here's the expected reinforcements for T2. Some troops and some planes. I'll put 'em to good use.

Here's the situation near Bangkok. The Japs have landed on the west coast of Malaya and upset all my defensive plans. D'oh.
I'm going to need to see how hard it is to ship some Australians into Singapore to help out with the defense.

Tom landed a bunch of troops on the north coast of New Guinea and now they aren't visible. D'oh. I'll get some spotter planes
on the island to see if we can't expose them.

Tom has made landings at Rabaul, Bouganville, and New Georgia. So I moved some troops to Guadacanal. I know we
weren't supposed to land on Guadacanal until August sometime but I thought I'd do it while I still could. The problem is
going to be holding it.

Here's what Pearl looks like now. There's a lot of land combat troops that need to be moved somewhere. But there's not enough
shipping to get them into the field quickly. I need to plan ahead for these moves.

Okie dokie........I found proof that the T1 Pearl Strikes sank 5 BB's and a DD squadron. Maybe we ought to turn on the logs to
get the battle info to each other.

note to Tom: just FYI, the Dauntless is a Navy aircraft, carrier capable, etc. so I'm guessing that the icon should be
blue instead of green. Or maybe you need that formation to be where it is and it just has the wrong equipment,
the wrong aircraft type. Maybe they should be A-20's instead?

Here's what Rangoon looks like now. I'm rushing some Indian divisions down the coastal road and across the river and into the
fight. The Japs are landing troops on the west coast of Malaya and that's upsetting my defensive plans. He's trying to cut them
off from their supply probably. I'll need to back those guys out of there pretty quickly now.

Here's the Celebes now. Tom has invaded bases having airfields mostly and has introduced Jap air power into the AO in
enough places to threaten Java already. I've no air power down there and they need it right now.

I moved a TBF group to Guadacanal and was delighted to see that Rabaul is within range. So I can watch for ships from the dirt
strip in the jungle. I've seen a lot of traffic headed toward Singapore but very little down in the SW Pacific.

Here's how the game engine computes the air war now. Actually the values don't really mean what they say they mean since
the air superiority values vary widely from one area to another. China is different from the SW Pacific. So I'm using this air
war display as just a very rough guess from the game engine.

The 27th Bomb Group was assigned the Dauntless but they did not arrive prior to the arrival of the Japanese in the Philippines. They eventually got them and then later obtained A-20 aircraft. I thought it better to leave the unit with the Dauntless.

Just looks weird.......an Army group flying Navy planes.
